The amount of douchebaggery in this game is just unbelievable sometimes and, unfortunate as it is, you will run into verbally abusive players and the /ignore command will be your best friend in these cases.

However, most of the time the anger in LoL stems from frustration because teammates or the players themselves are doing poorly and results in bad language, trolling, and other meanness to help vent that frustration. I find you can help to curb the building frustration in your teammates with compliments for accomplishments(no matter how small) and apologies for mistakes(even if it wasn't totally your fault).

Another thing I noticed is that constructive criticism is usually NOT welcome unless asked for or offered and then accepted. Don't go around telling someone that what they are doing is incorrect and then try to offer advice. No matter how nicely you put it, a player being offered unwelcome/unasked for advice will feel like they are being looked down upon and the advice will seem condescending and pompous no matter how well meaning you are.

Yeah Vis, I know what you mean. I try not to be an *** to people, it's just some deserve it for trolling or just being *******s. For some people, for whatever reason, think thats the best way to play the game; its kind of sad that they have to ruin it for others though!

This is why premades are infinitely better. With friends who you know and trust, constructive criticism is usually taken much lighter and instead of making a player shake with fury and screw everything up because they think they're horrible or their team is a bunch of douches, they'll take the criticism and end up doing much better than they would have if you were silent. The lesson of every post complaining about solo queue is: PREMADES! Come to the forums here, post on matchmaking, queue up with some friends, invite the good/nice people in solo queue until you have a friend roster large enough to at least duo queue at any given time.
