So, I've been having to deal with some unusual lag for the past few days and I'm not sure why. I reset my router and that helped a bit but I still get these lag spikes, especially when a bunch of stuff changes around on my screen (people appearing on the minimap, jungle monsters, etc.) It's pretty annoying to lose control of your character just when your teammate engages for a gank, so does anybody have a way to reduce this?

It could be a lot of things. I suggest you turn off every other program while playing (skype, steam, etc), and maybe lower the quality if you're playing on High/Very High.

If it only started in the past few days, then it's probably just to do with your ISP and out of your control. Whenever this has happened to me in the past, it fixed itself.

I should try turning that stuff off. I also set the LoL Client on High priority, and it helped.
[quote=evolvedpikachu]Closing Steam, a surprisingly relevant answer.
I play on the lowest settings.
