I'm relatively new to the game. 2 weeks. But I've put in copious amounts of time in-game, on forums and reading strats/builds. I feel like I've really come around quickly. The low level play is excructiating sometimes. Yes. I'm new...but I grasp the basics. I know I'm playing "low level" for a reason and I can't get thrust into more competitive play until later.

That's my question though. Is it pretty competitive up there? I'm tired of leavers, DCrs and idiots getting firtblooded because they can't help themselves and run headlong into the brush when they KNOW there are 2 people waiting for them.

I'm currently level 15 with 10,000 IP and take the game fairly seriously. I refuse to play HoN. The community is awful. The community at lower level play is absolutely amazing here at LoL. Does that disappear at 30 as well?

More Tryhards appear the higher level you go, as well as their egos.

Just be ready to use /ignore when you get up to 30.

The egos are higher, as diesel said, but leavers are MUCH less common.

Yeah the leavers are much less common, yet the trolls become slightly more common.. At level 30 you will still get the occasional few who are stupid enough to face-check bushes with ryze, annie, etc.. But for the most part people are much more aware of what they are doing as they have growed through the levels just like you have.

there are more bad players at level 30 than at level 10 - 20

at level 30 you will still have people die to golem with rune pages, still have people face check and still have people with no idea how to build champions.

Take from my example, other day face checked on accident while typing thinking that I told my guy to run back to the tower. Did not end well to say the least. >.> As far as from what I've seen is that there are people who got to thirty quickly by winning..... and those that got there by losing. Some times you just get in games with people who are having an off day or they just generally need guidance in their play. All in all though when ever I play with my lowbie friends I usually stomp the competition : \ makes me feel bad some times, but helping friends what can ya do.

Why play if you aren't going to try? This new attitude towards video games boggles me. I blame the younger generation of gamers that have been awarded participation trophies their whole lives. Even when they accomplished ****. The new attitude now is: If you're bad, just tell everyone else around you they're trying too hard.

Wtf.

I want competition. Not people that lay eggs.

I guess it's mostly about team comp. People pick heroes they like and have fun playing when they're not "tryhard" and people that are "tryhard" pick a team that synergizes well, have a jungler, tank, mix of damage, etc. I guess that can be fun in it's own way though, but sometimes people just want to play their fav character, and I think there's nothing wrong with that.
Thanks to Minho for my sig!

So call them tryhards? Even if this were the chief reason to call someone a "tryhard" (which is probably isn't), it's still ridiculous. You play comps that work. If you don't want to, don't expect to win.

"I better not go Rook to Knight 7. Don't want to give anyone the impression that I'm trying. Afterall, I just like moving the little guys around."

Garbage.
