The very first game I tried to play after the patch, my friend and I had just finished patching not even a minute before starting a game. When champ select ended, neither of us could connect to the game for about 3 minutes. He tried to relog and when he came back we both tried reconnecting again ( I hadn't relogged ) and both of us were able to sign in this time.
So apparently you just can't connect to games for about 5 minutes after completing the patch. >_> Everyone else in the game had connected from the start and we were both level 1 while everyone else was level 5.
