Nope, it's actually the opposite; win streaks in Diamond make your LP gains lower and lower. The only way to "fix" them is to win more games than you lose, but not so much that you actually climb, rather in a way that your low gains and high losses keep you in the same division until your MMR catches up to your rank, and your LP gains become more normal. Going on a win streak from there on would make your MMR bad again.
The only actual way to kinda be able to deal with it is to enter Diamond with already huge MMR. Even then, when I got into Diamond 5 on my main this season I started off with LP gains of +23 -18 more or less. I went on a huge win streak to Master and got to Master while my MMR was still lagging behind at Diamond 1 0 LP MMR lol. My huge LP losses didn't hold me back as they should have because I was barely losing. :^)
If you're wondering why that's the case in Diamond and not in any other division, it's because Riot's ******ed. To make Master tier more special and less obtainable, while still being the tier above Diamond, they stretched out the MMR requirements to progress through Diamond. There's a 375 MMR gap between most tiers, but the MMR gap between Master and Diamond is even bigger than that, so you have to win way more games to get there. But the LP system in Diamond is still the same as in other tiers, so whereas division 5 to division 4 in most tiers is meant to be 75 MMR, in Diamond it's 100+. The moment you win a game, your LP gains become bad because you haven't gained enough MMR yet. And as said before, the only way to actually get MMR that's good for your division is to suffer through your LP gains without going on win streaks, or to dodge champ select to lose LP/dodge promos to give your MMR time to catch up to you, which is something I do for fun but isn't really practical. And seeing as the other option isn't either, because obviously you want to win as much as possible to climb as fast as possible, the harsh reality is; LP gains in diamond are terrible. Especially if you win a lot.
