I'm actually experimenting with something like that currently. galio as he is on live effectively has magic resist ratios on his spells, which gives us the opportunity to do something different/additional with his passive if we think that puts him in a better state overall. once we start working on the 3.12 patch the pbe might see something from me, but that's far enough into the future that plans could change.

It's not going to work because of the sheer expense of magic resist items. Magic Resistance is already one of the most costly stats and the items available are limited.

he has some other issues though. Extremely mana intensive, reliant on flash to land his ultimate, building Randuin's Omen or Frozen Heart which potentially would be really good items for him but actually gimp his damage on his ultimate.

Anyway, giving him magic resist ratio's would actually be a pretty substantial nerf imo unless they made the ratio's insane

Well the act of giving him MR ratios is to remove and replace his passive with something that's actually useful.

They just need to keep his AP ratios and add for

Q a 0.3, W a 0.15, E a 0.25 and R a 0.3 MR ratio.

Same dmg bonus as before.

I would actually flip it. You would want the MR ratio's to be higher and AP ratio's to be lower because AP is cheaper than MR.

I agree with moon. Plus he's supposed be a damned tank. Riot should reward him, within his role, for building like the niche tank he is. Some tweaks to make his job initiating would be nice too, but really, he shouldnt have to build like a mage to be relevant.

Malphite and Rammus both have abilities that scale with armor and Rammus essentially has the same passive as Galio, except with armor.

Shouldn't be too bad. I'm really specific with my favourite champions and really despise when Riot starts messing with them, but I actually like this.

It helps in the jungle, but otherwise, yes. I would rather a passive which increases his armor and magic resistance by 15% or so. Would not be much, but increase the efficiency of his Defensive Ball Curl. Would also give him tanky stats without it.

I'd give him more early game power than late game power if I was Riot. Since Rammus already is an amazing tank late game (3 sec taunt op).

@Galio; I think this is a nice change tbh, though it is just a small one.
