One way to fix this is to do one of two things:
~Have it like the Old Leviathan and give 2 stacks for Assists, but if this was for SotO and Mejai's, characters would stack 20 like Mad and be an issue.
~Make it so Kills and Assists give 1 stack and maybe lower the stack cap to 10 or 15. Less Frag-Stealing and everyone as a team gets their proper share.

I am a big fan of Mejai's so ofcourse I would like it to stay the way it is.
If someone is able to get it to 20 stacks that means you arent on the good way. So having 20 stacks just makes it easier to finish a game, instead of hours of defending.
Personally I think MEJAI's & CREW are a bit OP but then again, if you dont feed your enemy they wont get those 20 stacks soon.
About the KS problem, I agree, maybe kill/assist should be 1. Since a kill in 5v5 is mostly with help of others, why give the finishing person an extra stack?

I agree, I honestly believe if they lowered the Stack Cap and made it 1/1:K/A; it would definitely promote more teamwork.
I wouldn't worry about it, if a player is getting one of these items then they have to know what they are doing. And keep in mind that "fragstealing" is common, it's quite random to be honest. Everyone wants a kill right? But when someone just pops up out of nowhere and takes credit for it I can understand. But that rarely happens, right?

If your a carry or DPS you should be eating up all the kills you can get, but that doesn't mean supports and tanks don't get kills. Just don't QQ everytime you don't get a kill in a 5v5. Make those items stack up always by 2 no matter if assist or kill.
Make those items loose 50%+ on death. Make 10 and 20 stack buffs (10%-20% CDR on soulstealer?)

Yes, thing is these items are more skill based than anything. It's not like you're going to get one cause you're losing. If your team is organized, you'll let them deal the damage and they'll let you take some kills (depending if you're a carry or not).







If you want to win feed that Akali with Meja's, Leviathan and Occult...

The reason i open this thread is cause i think these items should be changed.
Its one of the main reasons i singed up to mobofire.
The reason i got bored of dota was its selfisness: fragsteal,superfarming for 20mins,not entering battle cause of losing gold from deaths,bot deniing(making a bot player without brain better than a strategical player with slower reactions).
I start playing LOL and i am all happy with its mechanisms.
But these 3 items are getting in my nerves ...
They are the only reason you might find your allies flaming you for a frag steal.
They make players play selfise and over defensive-passive.
And if a vladimir with mejai's and leviathan gets fed you really have a problem.
I find that these items are full of missfunctions.
Getting more stacks from kills than from assists is my bigger prob.Then its the loss of stacks due to death:reminds me of dota. And last but not least that the flat bonus they provide is really small but their potencial is extremly overpowered and even better of that of any other item in the game.
If i was sure that i would stack 10 kills with vladimir i would ever make a sword of occult ... i mean its so cheap and 15%speed boost hell yeah!
I have some suggestions at how these items could be balansed up , but thats an other story.
