they both have their pros and cons. one obvious pro for solomid is that the guides are significantly better. least the featured ones and approved. mobafire on the other hand has just a bit too many trolls :P. but i like mobafire because of the amount of interaction you can have with the site and discussions too.

The better guides tend to make their way to the top here. You can really tell the difference in effort here more these days. I love being able to save unlimited guides for things I am theory-crafting. I also love the interaction with the community.
Actually I have learned everything in LoL from Mobafire and with the guides here I'm pretty successful in my scene :D

There are very few people here who would do the whole competitive scene thing IMO.
I know there are high ELO players though so, I dunno what could happen.

I think it's been said before, but Mobafire has no interest in picking up a team at the moment. Besides if they did it would most likely be a team from the pro-scene rather than users here
