Okay, got a vote to stick. Thank you. :-)
The +/- buttons do highlight when you mouse over them as you said, Vapora. The problem is that there is no feedback to the user once you've clicked on a button. At least not in Firefox.
Can some sort of pop-up be added that says something to the effect "Your vote has been tallied. Please refresh your browser."
Though even that may be hard to tell on a guide that has a lot of votes.
E.g. it is easy to tell that your vote has been added and counted when you are the 3rd person to vote.
Might be a tad harder to notice if your are 3101 person to vote.
So maybe there is a better solution, but some feedback that your vote has been tallied without having to do a screen refresh would, I think, do a heck of a lot to inspire confidence and probably would keep people from clicking plus again, thus removing the vote they just cast.
I think there also needs to be a mechanism to tell you that you have already voted on a guide or to inform you that you can only vote on a guide once. Because you can currently simply negate your own vote by clicking on the plus and I would assume minus again, which I can totally see happening if you come back and revote on a guide that you have forgotten that you've already voted on.

Thanks, I think that's a good suggestion.

Thanks to Fatelblade for the sig!

So then to refresh a vote to make it count again, you have to click the upvote button two times?
I had no idea, I think I've been removing all my votes just after casting them the past few months xD

Yah, if you vote once it doesn't show up in the tally until you do something to refresh the page. And then you will only know if you remember the count # prior to your vote as there is no other feedback that I've noticed and Psi's response seems to confirm.
I have up and then immediately down voted more than one guide, or come back back later and subtracted my vote by voting again, so you are not alone. XD
You need to log in before commenting.
How do you up or down vote a guide? I see that there are plus and minus buttons, but they don't do anything when I click on them. Firefox. Most recent version, though I've tried voting on guides with earlier versions and to my knowledge, I've never got the system to acknowledge my vote evah. So erhm...help! Thanks. :-)
