People keep posting these on normal threads, when it's not official at all should that be allowed?

It doesn't really phase me, but if it's an "Official" thread, it should be approved by a staff member.
If it's an Official thread, shouldn't it be automatically pinned for new viewers aswell?

Valid point you raise, Oxide.

Official in the sense that it is the main thread for a specific topic. Take the PoE thread. People could have made threads like "Mobafire Guild on PoE?" "Regarding the MF guild chest" "LF party for PoE" "Anyone wanna trade in PoE?" "How do you handle Brute in PoE? " or whatever. Having a big thread for everything regarding a topic is better in my opinion.

That isn't what official means

Especially if it's in Off Topic - doesn't really seem necessary to worry about it. No idea if this is what happened or not, but after I made the "Official QQ Thread" due to heaps of separate QQ threads clogging up the forums, more "Official" threads sprung up for people to post like-minded stuff (like the Official Happy Thread, Official Metal Thread, Official Birthday Thread etc).

"Official", like MissMaw said, became the prefix you added to a thread if the point of the thread is to contain everything about that topic. Doesn't have to be created by an admin or a mod.
