Hi, my summoner name is Norant, and I am a new League of Legends player.
I have seen the rift in December 26th 2015 for the first time: this is how noob I am :D. I have been playing a lot and reading many guides, I also follow the Lcs from time to time and I am slowly trying to get a bit better at the game but... I begin to feel that I am quite at a loss on what to do exactly. I'll try to explain: I have tried to play every lane but i am quite sure that my favourite one is the mid lane, I am level 30 with arount 600 games played but still not ranked (cause I don't think I could do much there yet) and I am also trying to expand my champion pool as much as possible while still keeping some mains (lux, ahri and veigar i think), but at the moment I don't exactly understand why my games go well or terribly bad. Sometimes I carry the game even against opponents at my same level or more, other times I just can't do anything, but if I try to think back at how I played I don't find many differences (except the results ofc..). One thing I always find extremely hard is to crawl back up from bad laining phases. Generally, when I loose my lane, I become useless for the entire game, a pain for my team mates!
I have some friends, quite better than myself, that have introduced me to the game and invited me to their team, and since they plan to rank next month I fear to desappoint them a lot é_é
Can someone help me out? maybe a player with more experience who can play a couple of games with me and tell me if he sees some major mistakes I can work on?
Thanks for any kind of answer, and if by chance i did not post in the right section (I am not so used to forums) I already apologize!

Welcome to Mobafire! First of all, what server do you play in? It is in general hard to tell you what you might be doing wrong as a player without really watching you play. However, I can tell you that, with champs such as Lux and Ahri, it's possible to reduce your dying up to a minimum by going back when you believe you're in danger of dying as opposed to staying and giving free 400-300G.
When you're behind with these champs, you really need to make good use of your utility. All 3 mentioned have good followup/engage CC that can be used effectively to help your team's fights and skirmishes even if you don't have quite the damage to make a gigantic impact. You should also do your best to farm up so you can keep a relevant amount of gold and experience.
