Well I for one didn't think they could pull off the concept so well with the in game model, but I was pleasantly surprised. :P

I agree that the concept works with the ingame model, but there's 2 things that put me off. 1) His size. Why is he so tiny? 2) His ult. Talk about M E H. Here's a celestial star-spawning dragon and HERE IS HIS ULTIMATE MOVE SKYRIM SHOUT.
The ult wasn't very interesting yeah. I was like "wow not making the ult complicated, I'm surprised" :D
I don't mind too much personally. Sometimes I've felt like they're going overboard with the mechanics (and I get that that's more interesting for veteran players, just sayin'), so I don't mind him being less mechanically complex.
I'm hopeful that his ability to go through walls will make him fun enough to play. :)
Also being a dragon. That will definitely make him fun enough for me to play but I'm biased. :D

The q goes to the maximum orbiting range, so I would guess that that includes the e. it looks like that in the q video too.

Aurelion Sol is mere weeks from his Rift debut, and is bringing one hell of a big bang along for his grand entrance. He's a medium range mage who deals devastating sustained area of effect damage with his orbiting stars. And when he's got somewhere to be, the Star Forger can take to the skies, flying over terrain while nurturing his very own fledgling apocalypse.
