Alienware is bad; not my own personal experience, but two of my irl friends both both Alienware laptops and have problems playing LoL. And their laptops cost more than the Alienware one you proposed.
if you want to play game, i would generally go for windows, because there are many games that are not available for mac. other than that i would go for the alineware one because it seems to give more for less money. but in the end it does not really matter, both are awesome computers wich should both be able to run the games you mentioned maxed out.
note that i don't really know much about computers and was too lazy to look all the things up to know which part is better in which pc :D

Neither. Both are overpriced. Especially the Mac.
If you literally cannot buy anything other than those two computers, get the Alienware laptop, but I still would not recommend it because it's $1700 for what should rightfully cost less than $1200.

What would you recommend then?
To play LoL, any laptop of $1200 would be fine. Don't pay over $1500 for a laptop, unless you're aiming for specific quality in some aspect (1T hard drive/graphics card/etc).

My two options are:
15 inch Mac w/ ($2300)
2.6GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB GDDR5 memory
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
750GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
Or
14 inch Alienware w/ ($1700)
Windows® 8 Pro 64-bit, English edit
4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ processor (6MB Cache, up to 3.4GHz)
8GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600MHz
750GB SATA 3Gb/s (7,200 RPM) + 64GB mSATA SSD Caching
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 765M with 2GB GDDR5
I would make upgrades to anything that would benefit playing/streaming after buying either as a baseline.
Thanks for all help
EDIT:
Here's a third possibilty someone just showed me.
NP8250-S w/ ($1850)
15.6" Full HD (1920x1080) LED-Backlit Display features 95% NTSC Color Gamut in Matte Finished Screen
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M GPU with 4GB GDDR5 Memory
4th Generation Intel Core i7-4700MQ Processor
16GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz Memory
6X Blu-Ray Reader/8X Super Multi Combo Drive
Killer Wireless-N 1103 & IC Diamond Thermal Compound
Multi Hard Drives with RAID plus mSATA SSD capable
Which of those is the best? Also, if anyone knows of a laptop that can match the best of those specs or better with a similar or lower price, pm me.
EDIT:
Here is the very last option. It is the same price as the Mac.
FORCE / MSI 16F4 (54-018) 780M (MSI GT60 Barebones) w/ ($2300)
WINDOWS 8 Professional - 64-Bit
Razer Lycosa Gaming Keyboard-
Bigfoot Networks Killer™ Dual Band Wireless-N 1202 - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module + Bluetooth 4.0 | Up to 300Mbps (2x2)
500GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache Buffer (Serial-ATA II 3GB/s)
750GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache Buffer (Serial-ATA II 3GB/s)
12GB DDR3 1600MHz [SKU-434BP] (Dual Channel Memory (3x4GB SODIMMS)
NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 780M 4,096MB PCI-Express GDDR5 DX11 w/ Optimus™ Technology
IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU
4th Generation Intel® Haswell Core™ i7-4700MQ (2.4GHz - 3.4GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache)
15.6” FHD 16:9 LED Backlit Wide screen (1920x1080) Super Clear Matte Type Screen
Correct me if I'm wrong, but out of all of the options I posted, this one has the best specs in every catergory.
Lets say my budget is between $1500-$2500.. The best choices are obvious, but for playing Steam games, LoL, WoW, D3, etc. which would be sufficient to run near perfect graphics/speed. And is there any possibility for streaming?
Thanks a ton
