I also find a couple of Paladin cards quite annoying... I usually win against them, though. But I doubt Shadow Cards from priest are very fun for the enemy

Thanks to FatelBlade, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, TheNamelessBard, GrandmasterD, aviseras and koksei for the awesome signatures
I think I found a major flaw in my way of playing, it explains a lot of games I threw:
I don't know what to prioritize in certain situations: clear the enemy board even if it means trading minions, or go for the HP and not clear the board.
Like last time, I got overconfident and let a priest's Lightbringer alive because I was at 24HP and after I attacked with everything I left him at 4 HP, thinking that he doesn't have enough counterplay for 5 minions on my side and 2 on his. The next turn he put another Lightbringer into a Defender of Argus and from then I lost the game and finished arena 1-3.
I simply don't know what's the best thing to do every turn.

You should always try to keep control of the board as much as you can, except for if it isn't worth it to clear the board (like if the enemy hero is on low HP or if the enemy poses no threat like a silenced shield bearer or something).
#question: Do you also need the legendary pirate to unlock the captains parrot? Because all descriptions say ALL pirates, but the chance that I actually get that legendary is rather low D:

And yes, I'm pretty sure you need it, lol.

As Meiyjhe said, in general it is very important to have board control and keep the enemy's side clean as much as possible. Situations in which you can decide not to trade is for example when you have a 4/3 against an enemy 3/2 and you assume the enemy will trade that minions for yours in his next turn (which makes sense since its a favourable trade for him) or if you have a taunt up that you know the enemy's minions can't really deal with. There's always some risk involved since your enemy can buff any weak minion that you decide to ignore, but in the end that all depends on how the game is going and which class you're facing (Paladin will be more likely to buff a minion than Mage, for example :P).
In general I'd definitely go for board control over damage on the enemy though.
