Meh, the last few years my reading time was taken in by night time programming and reading ****ty manga while being mentally dead (in both cases).
They're pretty cheesy if I recall correctly, but have you read some Sherlock Holmes stories? I remember liking them. (not really high thriller level but it's mystery regardless)
If you don't mind scifi and if you're not looking for "literature literature", you could also check out the Artemis Fowl series. Pretty fun if I recall correctly.

Sherlock Holmes stories are nice, and easy to digest imo. I personally also like to read Lovecraft and Poe. The Imperial Radch trilogy by Ann Leckie is also something I can recommend.
