I don't know about know, but before you could get a good lane advantage by rushing Manamune for sustain (Strength of Spirit) and lane pushing.
That might've only applied to solo lanes tho.

This is meant for solo lane. :P

Strength of Spirit was such a good mastery, I wish they had kept it >.>

the extra 3 hp regen from mastery is pretty good too, and hp regen quints are probably just as fine as ad quints...

I would tend to say that AD quints are a lot better than regen :P

A Regrowth pendant is 15hp/5, that is 3 health per second.

You are mitigating 3 dps with a Regrowth Pendant.

HP/5 Quints are 2.7/5, which is 8.1/5 total.

That is roughly 1.4 dps of mitigation.

Now, Armor quints, only using 1.5 of them (for fairness, as hp/5 quints mitigate all types of damage.) give us 6.4 armor.

Basically, even if you have a high base armor like Malphite, 6.4 armor is equivilent to ( /0.821355236~=.95) 6.4 armor is a 5% damage reduction.

Unless your enemy is only doing ~28 dps to you with your base stats, then armor or mr quints are superior.

The damage from true damage is substantial, and can't really be defeated with regen, it's better to just itemize health against true damage, or in the case of Vayne, attack speed reduction such as Randuin's/Frozen Heart.

This is my opinion on why HP/5 runes suck big fat balls.
Tri lane for life.

Not to mention you already have HP regen in your natural kit.

And 8 hp per second is worth like 250 gold if we go strictly by starting gear choices, while I believe 6-7 Ad is worth a lot more :P

I bought HP regen quints but I dont hardly ever use em..

Armor and MR feels superior always.
