I don't understand why Urgot's packing boots and armor runes.
If I wanted to crush a Morde, I'd be taking MR seals and start with Null magic mantle.
It's not like I need to be terribly faster when I have a shield and hideously long range to poke him down. If he does get close, I have a ton of MR too.

A good Urgot knows that he should run 25ArP.
(physical skills benefit sooo much more from ArP than AD)

Let's not forget in our math craft that urgot has a ranged attack and his E to eat Morde's shield and his Q to lay down deeps.
It's at least a 6/4 maybe a 6.5/3.5 or even a 7/3 favoring Urgot.

Genja was running +15 AD not long ago (though I'm unsure if he runs it every time, I definitely saw it that game he was 2v1), rushing a Brutalizer of course. He hit like a truck.

TBH I think either AD or ARP are probably both fine. I personally would be inclined to use AD >:P

cause like the last 5 pages have been people recommending either terrible picks, or mages, and we all know Duff sucks at mages :P

And then i said "You just have to aggresively deny his blue".

MR seals? So you're saying that you can only get 1-2 q's on me? Or do you want to run into my creeps with no armor?
Also, if you stack MR vs Mordekaiser, you won't do enough damage against him to actually push him out of lane, and so he will just push you under your tower and roam/counter jungle, or just force you to miss cs under tower.

Morde lost to Urgot in lane pretty hard...
His shield gets smashed and he eats like 2-3 Q's for free.
Nope and I'm not running either of those top lane.
Okay, lets do some math shall we?
With the following setups:
Morde
Urgot
Morde has 80(51) armor, Urgot has 50mr.
With a E landed, and 3 Q's, Urgot will deal 81+65+65+65 = 276 damage.
This is reduced to 183 damage.
At level 2, Morde's Q+E gives him 140 shield (his max is 150 at that point) if he hits the whole minion wave, and with those runes, he can cast both of them more often than Urgot can Q.
You have wasted 82 health, and he has wasted 170 mana.
You also can start with more potions than him.
I just think that, if you rune/itemize/play properly, urgot won't beat you, and even if he does, you will rock him later.
You once said that riven's biggest weakness is that she does all physical damage, well guess what, urgot does too.
And his E is on a 11 second CD base at all levels.
