ugh I forgot where I posted a whole long thing about this the other day...
but basically,
you are getting a LOT more in stats from a Doran's than what you pay for it...reason they can make it so cheap is coz you can't build it into anything...taking a risk, but with the amazing benefits it gives, it pays off since you can sustain more, and as a result farm better, get more kills, etc. and one up your opponent(s).
Almost always pays itself off.

Not when they win lanes.
This is not necessarily for when you win your lane. I usually see it when they have a hard time in their lane, but I rarely see high elo streamers actually get doran's shield, just wondering if it was possible to emulate the same thing.
For the early resistances business, would it make more sense to buy a chain mail and pots than 2 doran's shields when you come back? From what I gathered it was better to build HP first and then resistances than the other way around, or is that a wrong view?

u can stack dorian's shield but it's not exactly as useful since unless ur a tank the extra armor doesn't make that much of a difference especially if it slows down ur build ap/dps on the other hand stack dorian's blade and ring thanks to the nice bit of attack damage or ap that'll help them burst easier.
