I've been pretty successful with Tristana and Ashe top lane, more Ashe than Tristana because of the higher ranged attacks, but that's just me.

I've been having some success with Nunu & Willump top. Obviously, his auto-attack isn't ranged, but his E is. I just poke away with that E, utilize the passive for mana purposes, and the opposing Jax (for example) can't really get near me.

A bit late, but top-lane Quinn generally either splitpushes or is a bruiser from what I've seen.

Could Quinn top be a good idea if running a kill lane bot (like Xin and J4)?

I had a Top Lane Twitch once. He literally pooped on the enemy top laner. Obviously Twitch isn't a serious pick but if you can play him really well maybe he could work. If you don't get super fed though you'll be a burden to your team cause 2xADC is bad late game.
