I think most people will tell you to ignore both CrC *and* CrD runes altogether.
From what I can remember, Flat AD runes > CrD runes, plus they help you so much more in the early game.
CrC runes are pretty much a waste, as even if you go for a full page of it, it adds up to around 20%. Which is a bit meh imo. Leave CrC to items and Tryn's passive.
ArPen runes seem to be a matter of personal taste. Some people don't like them, especially if they plan on buying a last whisper during the game. Other people swear by them for bringing early game pain.

I do like armor pen quite a bit as they scale well throughout the netire game. Although I find it odd that crit dam would be useless since I can crit in the one thousand late game (if I have a last whisper in most cases), some 33% extra damage to that would be devastating, imo.
Even early game, adding 33% dam to a 200 dam crit ( becomes 266) aint bad at all considering you fighting a lvl 3-4 opponent.

I think CrD only becomes effective at more than 60% CrC or something, which isn't going to happen until lategame, if you manage to farm and not feed too much.
I recommend reading these, and making your own mind up about what suits your playstyle:
Graphs that show the effectiveness of Physical Damage Runes, courtesy of Searz.
Searz's Rune Guide is also a very good resource for when deciding what runes to get.

K from what I can understand
Ar pen = the best overal marks and quint runes there are.
CrC = useless ****
CrD = become epicly good late game
AD = for an op early game.
In my case CrD take the cake cause I only become a monster mid-late game with tryn as I tend to play passively and farm minions until mid game with tryn.
My reg build is Grieves, zeal, IE,(then build things that counters the enemy team)
If I grab first blood and get early fed, I grab and avarice blade before zeal.
In total with tryn's passive at 100, i get 70% crit chance mid game. Crit dam definatly seem to be what I need.

So my friend and I have been toying with a DPS simulator we made in MatLab for a while (my formula, his program) and this is what we see:
Flat ArmPen is good but not as good as everyone says it is. It's best if you stack it with items like TBC or Youmuu's and terrible if you get a LW. All the attack stats are multiplicative, but all ArmPen can do is bring the value to 1 from whatever reduced damage you're doing (unless your TBC is reducing them to -0 armor, but when does that happen...)
Runes of crit chance suck. They NEVER show up as an optimal choice because they are so undervalued. Seriously, it's so much more efficient to get on items.
Runes of crit damage actually don't even show up on full, expensive item builds. The reason is that crits deal 200-260% damage already (masteries, i-edge) and so 33% more is at best a 16.5% increase in crit damage and under optimal conditions (you HAVE crit damage mastery and an i-edge) a 12.7% increase in crit damage.
We use our MatLab program for level 18 characters, but I did some work on my own and I found that flat AD is great for all of three levels, then AS beats it. This depends on the character, of course, but your "early game" advantage might not last all that long.
TL;DR: Runes of AS keep coming up as really nice damage, and to some extent so do scaling AD and ArmPen with certain items.
(PM me if you're interested in the formula.)

Actually, if I were you, I would run straight-up AS unless you're using TBC or Youmuu's.
Why?
MM GIRL LOOK AT THAT FURY
(More penetration doesn't keep you in lane like AS does.)
And if you plan on buying a Last Whisper, DON'T USE FLAT PENETRATION. Last Whisper's effect stacks multiplicatively with your 10% penetration mastery, bringing the total to 46% penetration, and applies AFTER flat penetration/reduction.
Consider ArmPen, AS, SCALING AD for mid-game so you can start with PDs and Zerker greaves and not bumrush I-Edge/BT, and maybe lifesteal quints. Lifesteal quints were overlooked in all the lifesteal nerfs, but they're expensive.

you dun need crit. dmg will help more early.
Thank you jhoijhoi, Keondre, LaCorpse, The_Nameless_Bard, Arcana3, Apfeljack, Hogopogo, eddie199, Xiaowiriamu, and JEFFY40HANDS for the spectacular sigs!

Use AD runes. Tryn sucks late game, early game is all you really have when your 35% crit cannot be matched by anything else.
AD runes. End. Nothing else.

I'm looking to upgrade the marks and quints for my rune page for tryn. I'm not willing to change the seals and glyphs cause I like the flat ar and magic res for early game.
My idea was to either get 1) crit chance marks and quints or 2) crit dam marks and quints.
1) Crit chance marks + quints = +14% crit chance
2) Crit damage marks + quints = +33% crit damage
Now I have no idea which is best. I don'T even know if ar pen is the best in the end. Thanks for taking time to read this mess and answering.
PS : the price of runes ain't an issue, so please don't take it into account.
