League of Legends (LoL) Question: What role should I puts as my secondary?

What role should I puts as my secondary?

I'm a mid main, I really enjoy the champions and the lane but, since it's so popular there are times when I can't get the role. I've been going with top secondary to try and get mid as much as I possibly can, but when I get Top I don't really know what to do and so I nearly always lose. The only other role I've had any kind of success with is support, but I don't want to be support 40-50% of the time so I don't really know what to do.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Go Jungler with a mage or assassin, that would probably work well. Diana Ekko Taliyah Karthus
If not, go a mage top and just split push as much as you can while being aware of minimap until late game.
But yea, play a champion you are comfortable with.

I have been maining mid since I started playing League. While on need or demand I pick support or adc, most of the times I have stayed far away from top and put Mid/Jungle. My opinion is, if you are a decent mid player, you should pretty much have some idea on how to play as jungle, how to keep timers for rift/drakes and scuttles, when and where to go and where to expect/initiate ganks, counterganks from. I feel like this reason alone made me very easily get a hold of jungling and play some successful ganks.

I would have suggest you to go for top or jg. you can play Garen, Teemo and Kennen easily top. Then you can go for adc or jg. For jg go for VI, Gragas or Galio for easy jg. for adc pick Ash, tristana or Miss foutune.
If you need any more info, feel free to knock me.

Support is always a good second lane to leanr simply because the game throws you to support a lot so you will always play in your position. If you don't want support though I definitely suggest adc, simply because of the synergy that that the champions have in these two positions. That way you can imporve in both roles and also widen your roaster so that you can also play Heimerdinger, Orianna, Syndra, Swain, yasuo and other midlaners bot while also bringing some AD carrys like Tristana, Ezreal, Lucian, Jhin and Vayne in the Mid Lane which is very hard to do if you don't master ADC.

Play the lane you enjoy the most, excluding now Mid and Supp. Find and learn champions you enjoy the most in your secondary roles, in this case top or jgl. It doesn't matter if they're OP in this meta or not. Even the weakest champ in the meta can be very strong if you mastered it. You can also be creative and perhaps play a mid lane champ even Top. Maybe even Jungle? O.o

Being a jungler in this current season and perhaps the next one too due to the changes in jungle path, is the most difficult role. If you used to carrying as a mid laner, the ideal role would be to learn another solo lane. i.e top. And since its not all tanks you can still have an impact on the game. But if your mid lane champs are good, people are now more accepting to the idea of picking bot lane mages so you can give that a try.

Everybody gets better at their lane over time, I would just recommend learning top lane. Watch some videos and stuff.
