League of Legends (LoL) Question: About Fiora

    About Fiora

I've read about Fiora being a waste of IP. May I ask why? I have little to no experience in playing her (only one game in which I did good but I guess that doesn't count because it was against bots) but the times I was against one I always felt she's a very strong champion.

Please, look at this... What champion make pentakill on 5 vs 1 out of Fiora?
I play more with Fiora and I made so good scores with her... FIORA is OP!

The things people complain about with Fiora only matter in higher end play. If you like the champion play it and disregard what other people say.

    Her weaknesses people complain about:
    -No CC
    -No Escape
    -Easy to counter build against.
    -Slow clear
-Ult is easily stopped and can't be controlled.
-squishy and has to go into close range to do damage.

I have played her in normals and gold Elo ranked and have won my lane and carried games. If you like any champion and are good enough at the game you can find some way to make it work.

    @Bligen

Prior to Tiamat her clear is quite slow.

Slow clear? lies... fiora every single build needs ravenous hydra which makes her clear speed epicly fast

With Fiora, there are a few issues:
    1. She is AA dependant, which means that she deals sustained damage, and for dealing damage, she must stick to the enemy target. This, is not very handy, since this means that slows n stuff can make sure that Fiora is absolutely useless unless she uses her ultimate.
    2. Since it is an AA killer, it means she needs a lot of damage output. Since it is a melee sustained damage dealer, it means she needs a lot of defense. Since Fiora synergies better with damage, you will buy more AD and stuff, leaving you more squishy, which is highly risky.
    3. In order to get bonus MS (which she desperately need), she must attack her opponent first, which is quite "not so good"
    4. She is a bloody duelist and her ultimate deals less damage to the same target with multiple hits. I mean, that just doesn't make sense.
    5. She is a bad jungler because her gankability is 0. She is a bad top laner because she needs to get close to the enemy in order to get sustain (while still being squishy). She is a bad mid-laner because her poke in the lane can only be done with Lunge, which deals low amounts of damage, she also cannot really go all-in since Fiora deals no burst damage (unless you count her ultimate as burst)
    6. She costs 6300 IP while she is barely capable of doing anything right.

    So to answer:
I've read about Fiora being a waste of IP. May I ask why? I have little to no experience in playing her (only one game in which I did good but I guess that doesn't count because it was against bots) but the times I was against one I always felt she's a very strong champion.

High IP costs and capable of doing little, which is quite an IP waste. And yes, she can be strong when the enemies do not abuse one of the many weaknesses Fiora has. That is with a lot of champions, no? :P

Thanks, I understand now. Although I still think she's a very fun champion to play.

Fiora has the melee ADC problem.
She has to get in close range of everyone to deal damage.
Fiora is a squishy glass cannon that has 0 Crowd control whatsoever.
The only damage Fiora will deal in a actual fight is with her ultimate, after her ultimate ends everyone on the enemy team is either dead or fiora is.
Oh yeah and her ultimate can be canceled by so many things( Sanguine Pool, Frozen Tomb, Twilight Shroud, etc )

Fioras so bad she even has her own tier at the bottom of the top lane champions. Imo she either gets really fed and stomps (5%) or becomes useless.

She either gets fed or does anything. And being a melee adc with no escapes means that she's gonna get ganked, and die and be useless. In my opinion she is the worst champion in the game, together with Warwick, who atleast has a good ult, that stops him from being completely useless.

I actually like Fiora and if fed she can be hard to deal with, I feel like she isnt as bad as people say as long as you know how to play her.

But wouldn't that perspective only apply to competitive gaming? I mean, I have no interest in that, that's why I posted the question.

Sometimes I just feel like most people in this game should just chill out and remember that it doesn't have to be just about the competitive part...
