AURELION SOL HOW TO LANE PHASE AND EXECUTE WITH PRECISION
🌌 Runes Breakdown (Patch 25.17)
Primary: Sorcery

Arcane Comet (Keystone) – Best poke + DPS rune. Procs off Q beam consistently, giving you reliable trading and extra Stardust stacking.

Manaflow Band – Fixes mana issues early so you can Q more freely.

Absolute Focus – Extra AP while healthy; synergizes with your safe, long-range playstyle.

Scorch – Adds early burn poke for lane pressure.

Secondary: Resolve

Bone Plating – Helps you survive assassins and melee all-ins.

Overgrowth – Free scaling HP; keeps you tankier into late fights.

Stat Shards

Adaptive Force (Offense)

Adaptive Force (Flex)

Scaling HP (Defense)

✅ Why this page? It gives you early lane sustain, poke pressure, and late-game scaling bulk.

🪐 How to Play Aurelion Sol (Level 1 → Nexus)
Early Game (Levels 1–5)

🎯 Goal: Survive lane, farm Stardust, set up roam potential.

Start Q: Use short taps to farm + poke without draining mana.

Levels 2–3: Unlock W and E. Push waves with Q, then hover E for roam opportunities.

Position far back — you’re vulnerable early, don’t trade into assassins unless jungler covers.

At Level 5 you want at least 2 wave crashes done to set up an early roam with E.

First Power Spike (Level 6)

🎯 Goal: Unlock kill pressure with Falling Star (R).

Q + R combo = reliable knock-up, good for jungle skirmishes.

After shoving wave, roam bot/top. Your ult sets up free ganks.

Secure first dragon: you’re amazing at objective fights thanks to zone control with E + Rylai’s rush.

Mid Game (Levels 7–13)

🎯 Goal: Dominate team fights, snowball objectives.

By now, you should have Blackfire Torch + Sorcerer’s Shoes → Rylai’s.

Waveclear instantly with Q, roam with E to create numbers advantage.

Fight in choke points (Dragon/Herald). Drop E in river, follow with Q, ult when enemies clump.

Play around roaming + objective timers, not lane kills.

Positioning tip: stay behind frontline, kite with Rylai’s slow, melt everyone with Q beam.

Late Game (Levels 14–18)

🎯 Goal: Become the raid boss.

With Liandry’s + Rabadon’s + Zhonya’s, you shred tanks and delete squishies.

Your The Skies Descend (empowered R) is fight-winning — use it on objectives like Baron/Dragon or when enemies commit to your frontline.

Team fight role:

Zone enemy carries with E + Rylai’s.

Beam nonstop with Q (poke before fight, DPS during).

R to either peel for your ADC or start a massive engage if your team has follow-up.

Nexus Push & Endgame

Siege safely: clear waves with Q from distance.

Use Rylai’s slows to punish anyone stepping up.

Ult under tower or in base choke to end games decisively.

Always think zone control > all-ins. Aurelion wins by suffocating space, not by diving.

🧠 Boss Tips

Farm Stardust smartly: poke + farm at the same time with Q beams.

Don’t waste E: if it’s on cooldown, you’re immobile and gank bait.

Synergy: Works great with junglers who have CC (Sejuani, Jarvan, Maokai).

Counters: Play safe vs assassins (Zed, Yone, Naafiri). Build Zhonya’s early if needed
🌌 Chapter 1: Synergies — The Best Allies for Aurelion Sol
“Alright summoners, let’s talk about the Starsmith of the Cosmos himself — Aurelion Sol. But here’s the thing: even the dragon who built the stars shines brighter when paired with the right allies. Today, we’re breaking down the best synergies for Aurelion Sol in League of Legends, why they work, and how you can maximize your win rate when these champions are on your team. Let’s get into it.”

🌠 Section 1: Why Synergy Matters

Aurelion Sol isn’t like most mid laners. He doesn’t want early 1v1 duels like Yone, and he doesn’t have the instant burst of Syndra. He’s a scaling zone mage whose power spikes around mythic completion and Stardust stacking. That means his best allies are those who can:

Buy him time in early skirmishes

Lock enemies down so his Q beam melts them

Fight around zones where his E + R control the field

🛡️ Section 2: Jungle Synergies

Let’s start with junglers, because they are the most important teammates for Aurelion Sol. If your jungler understands your win conditions, the game becomes way easier.

🔥 Sejuani

Why it works: Sejuani has point-and-click CC with her Q + R. That sets up Aurelion’s Q perfectly — just hold the beam on whoever is frozen.

Playstyle: When Sej ganks mid, bait the enemy forward with Q taps, then chain your R when she lands her ultimate.

Team fights: Frontline tank + engage → lets Aurelion freecast.

🌳 Maokai

Why it works: Maokai’s saplings give vision, which lets Aurelion safely shove waves and roam. His root and ultimate are perfect zoning tools to stack on top of Aurelion’s black hole (E).

Playstyle: Call Maokai mid around level 6. Maokai R into Aurelion R = instant wipe in dragon fights.

⚔️ Jarvan IV

Why it works: Cataclysm is a death sentence with Aurelion Sol. Once enemies are trapped, your Q beam + Rylai’s slow melts them.

Playstyle: Ping Jarvan when your R is up. His EQ + R → you drop Falling Star, then channel Q through the cage.

🐻 Volibear

Why it works: He provides frontline + tower dive potential. Aurelion can follow his tower dives with long-range beams and E zone.

Playstyle: Push waves with Q, let Voli dive side lanes, and ult from mid to cover.

🛡️ Section 3: Support Synergies

Supports are the second best way to unlock Aurelion’s potential.

💡 Thresh

Why it works: Pick potential. Thresh hook + Flay means a guaranteed Q beam and Stardust stack.

Playstyle: In mid/late fights, follow his hook instantly with Q + R. If Thresh lands a hook near dragon pit, it’s basically a free kill.

🐍 Nautilus

Why it works: Point-and-click R into layered CC.

Playstyle: Let Naut engage, stay at max Q range, and chain R when enemies are CC’d. This duo dominates objective fights.

🐐 Soraka

Why it works: Soraka gives you infinite sustain, so you can Q poke constantly in lane and fights.

Playstyle: With Soraka, your goal is to drag fights out. Don’t commit early — keep kiting with Rylai’s while Soraka heals you up.

💥 Section 4: Mid/Top Lane Synergies

Not as direct, but some lanes make Aurelion’s job way easier.

🌀 Malphite

Why it works: Malphite engages → Aurelion drops ult → team wiped. It’s as simple as that.

Playstyle: Save your R until Malphite ults. Chain both and you win fights instantly.

🔥 Orianna (as double mage comps)

Why it works: AoE control + objective dominance.

Playstyle: If Orianna’s ball zones one side, Aurelion zones the other. Together, you suffocate entire teams around Baron.

🗡️ Sett / Darius

Why it works: These bruisers drag enemies into your zone. Sett Facebreaker or Darius pull → you Q + E instantly.

Playstyle: Communicate with pings; follow their pull/ult with your E field.

🚀 Section 5: Macro Synergies

It’s not just about champs — synergy also means team strategy.

If your team drafts frontline + engage, your role is artillery.

If your team drafts poke + sustain, your role is zone control and objective setup.

If your team drafts pick comp, you play like a follow-up burst mage.

“So remember: Aurelion Sol is a dragon who builds the battlefield. The best teammates are the ones who lock enemies in place, buy him time to scale, and protect him while he melts everything with Stardust beams. If you see Sejuani, Maokai, Nautilus, or Malphite on your team, you just hit the jackpot.”
🌌 Chapter 2: Counters — How to Survive Aurelion Sol’s Worst Matchups
“Being the dragon who forged the stars doesn’t mean you’re invincible. In fact, Aurelion Sol has some of the nastiest counters in League of Legends. And if you blind pick him mid, you’ll run into assassins, mages, and artillery champions who want nothing more than to shut you down. Today, we’re breaking down the worst counters to Aurelion Sol, why they’re such a problem, and exactly how to play against them so you can still carry even in bad matchups.”

💀 Section 1: Assassin Nightmares

Aurelion Sol’s biggest weakness? He’s immobile if E is down. Assassins exploit that.

⚔️ Yone

Why he’s scary:

Dashes right through your Q beam, ignoring slows.

All-in potential at level 6 with Fate Sealed.

How to play vs Yone:

Farm with short Q taps, never full channel unless his E is on cooldown.

Save your R to peel yourself, not for engage.

Rush Seeker’s Armguard → Zhonya’s early.

Ask your jungler for cover until Rylai’s comes online.

Mindset: Don’t duel. You’re playing to stall until team fights.

🐺 Naafiri

Why she’s scary:

Insane gap close with her pack, easy to dodge your Q.

Point-and-click damage means no skill shot counterplay.

How to play vs Naafiri:

Hug tower, spam ping when she roams — match her only after shoving wave.

Build Everfrost if off-meta, or rely on Rylai’s slow to kite.

Remember: she spikes at 2-item core, so stall until you hit 3+.

🗡️ Zed

Why he’s scary:

Shadow combos dodge your beam.

Level 6 = guaranteed all-in threat.

How to play vs Zed:

Stay under tower pre-6, only Q for last hits.

Buy Seeker’s Armguard immediately.

Save R for self-peel — knock him up the moment he ults.

Ping jungler to hover; Zed hates being 2v2’d.

🔥 Section 2: Burst Mage Threats

These champs delete you before you can scale.

🧨 Vex

Why she’s scary:

Anti-dash passive punishes your E.

R resets mean if you die once, your team collapses.

How to play vs Vex:

Don’t overuse E in lane; treat it like a cooldown to roam only when safe.

Play max Q range; don’t step up unless her fear is down.

Build Banshee’s Veil if she snowballs.

🎇 Ziggs

Why he’s scary:

Out-ranges you early.

Bomb poke forces you off wave.

How to play vs Ziggs:

Farm with Q from distance; don’t contest CS melee range.

Shove and roam if he burns mana spamming.

Later, your E + R zones him out of team fights — focus on team play, not lane win.

🪄 Morgana

Why she’s scary:

Black Shield cancels your engage setups.

Long snare punishes your lack of mobility.

How to play vs Morgana:

Stay behind minions, never walk into Q angles.

Don’t waste ult if shield is up; bait it first with Q poke.

Ask jungler for ganks — she’s immobile if her Black Shield is burned.

🏹 Section 3: Poke & Artillery Bullies

These champs don’t kill you instantly, but they starve you of farm and pressure.

🌪️ Xerath

Why he’s scary:

Out-ranges you until mid game.

Forces you to burn pots just to farm.

How to play vs Xerath:

Take Doran’s Ring + Second Wind to survive poke.

Short Q taps only, then back off.

Look to shove and roam after first recall — don’t handshake lane.

🔭 Vel’Koz

Why he’s scary:

Shreds tanks and squishies alike.

Beam outranges your Q early.

How to play vs Vel’Koz:

Dodge sideways, never back.

Fight only when your E + R are ready — your team fight zoning > his poke.

🌌 Lux

Why she’s scary:

Snare + burst deletes you if caught.

Constant poke denies Stardust farming.

How to play vs Lux:

Hug minions, bait her Q into wave.

Build early MR if needed.

Punish her immobility with jungler help.

🛡️ Section 4: General Counter-Play Tips

Even if you’re blind picking into counters, you’ve got tools.

Rune Adjustments

vs Assassins → Swap to Resolve secondary (Bone Plating + Overgrowth).

vs Poke → Second Wind + Doran’s Shield.

Item Adjustments

Rush Zhonya’s vs AD assassins.

Rush Banshee’s Veil vs heavy AP burst.

If outranged, consider Crown of the Shattered Queen as anti-burst safety.

Wave Management

Don’t perma-push vs assassins — keep wave near tower.

Vs artillery, push quickly then roam; don’t trade poke.

Roaming Discipline

Remember: you’re not trying to win lane, you’re trying to win the map. Even if 0/0/0, you’re useful with 200+ Stardust late.

“So, the lesson here is simple: Aurelion Sol doesn’t win every lane — but he doesn’t have to. Your job in hard matchups is to farm safe, roam smart, and scale until the dragon becomes unstoppable. Whether it’s Yone, Vex, or Ziggs, you’ve always got answers if you play patient, build correctly, and remember: the stars themselves are on your side.”
