League of Legends (LoL) Question: Give Mercy?

The problem is that a team could bully and force someone out to get a loss prevented, I think. The system was too abusable and relied on a sort of honor system. And we all know how honorable people are when they are anonymous on the internet.

It would still be unfair for the team that doesn't have a leaver.

They should get a reduced lp loss and the enemy gets a reduced lp gain. that way it isn't as big a deal but it still counts for something.

They stopped developing it because it was too easy to just get a loss prevented. One from the enemy team had to leave, no big consequences happen. Except from the fact that 4 people didn't lose any lp and didn't lose their promos etc.
