    Getting matched with higher elo players

    Hello I have been playing League for a year now and I finally started playing ranked. (Placed in Bronze 1) It went ok and I felt like I could carry most games. But I lost my first promos so I went back to normals for a few days. Suddenly Im getting matched with Gold and Platinum players (even low diamonds) while I got matched with Silvers only a week ago.
    How can that happen and is there any way to fix my matchmaking?

    You have two different MMR's, one for ranked, the other for unranked.

    Yep. Also keep in mind your opponents have a separate Normal MMR as well, so the Gold and Plat ranked players might not play enough normals (or they don't take them seriously enough) to have a high Normal MMR.

    The way to "fix" your MMR if you think it's too high is just to lose a bunch. The system will lower your rating and match you against other players that should be closer to your skill level.
