How do I hit Alistar's W, Q Combo in Australia

Hi I have been maining support for a long time but I have only hit Alistar's combo ever once. Because I live in Australia it's very hard to hit his W Q combo. Does any Australian players out there know how to hit his combo without smashing W Q on your keyboard? Thanks in advance for answer.

    It's mainly due to lag.

It's very hard with high ping.

I've wondered the same as you before when I played on NA (140~300 ping)

Mash WQ as quickly as you can together

I can't be certain because I haven't played with Australian ping, but you should be able to pull off the combo, though it'll be more difficult than usual because your target may stray out of range.

    1) Make completely sure you are in range to Headbutt your target.
    2) Cast Headbutt.
    3) Immediately cast Pulverize, even before you see the W animation.

As long as you cast the two spells closely together and in the right order, you should be able to do the combo. If you're missing it, you're either Qing first because you're not in range for W, or you Q too late because you wait too long.

Normally I tell people to Q right when the W animation starts, but considering you have higher ping, you'll just have to Q right after you cast W. If you're out of W range (even a little bit), Alistar will have to walk into range before casting W, so your Q will pop too early. Make sure you're in range.

There's honestly very little reason to actually do that combo unless you're a mega pro, or for gap closing purposes. Q walk behind them W is a better standard combo, and is easier even on higher ping. Even so Combo champs like Alistar are far harder to use effectively on your ping. :p

I'd suggest just using a different champion.

I agree with Psi the combo is very good and it gives you opportunities.

I guess. Things like this are why I generally hate having Alistar support me. XD
I'd rather have any other CC bot support.

I just started two posts in a row with "Uh," and now I feel like a douche. Sorry. :/

Uh, yeah, it's good. Why would you restrict yourself to using a Vayne-style stun when have a Leona-style stun at your disposal? An Alistar who doesn't know how to W-Q is far less threatening.

Sure, if you can land the abilities separately, you can extend the CC duration, but if you have no alternative, you have a lot less opportunities available.

If we're talking the W them into a wall and Q combo, yea. The W into Q without knocking back combo isn't even very good. Either way his pings too high to make use of that combo.

Uh, no, this isn't a mega-pro combo. This is a very basic combo that any Alistar player should learn.

Just go into a custom game and practise the timing there, you'll get it eventually.

Get better ping. Which, there was a "leak" that Riot may be releasing an Aussie server...
