League of Legends (LoL) Question: Is Ziggs worth buying?

    Is Ziggs worth buying?

So, Ziggs is on sale and I was wondering if I should buy him or not.
I have a great time playing League with mid casters and stuff but looking at his kit, the only skill that I can see that will help me burst the other team down is his ulti. His Bouncing Bomb looks great for poke, but I'm wondering how good it will be in a teamfight. His Satchel Charge looks like a mini Exploding Cask but it's fairly hard to land. His Hexplosive Minefield looks pretty useful for those situations when you have to kill the inhibitor turret and run because they've respawned but I'm not sure how useful that will be in a teamfight.
His passive looks pretty scary, especially if I were to stack a Lich Bane with it but I'm not sure of his autoattack range so I'm not sure if using it in a teamfight would put me in a bad position.

    Opinions?

Ziggs is underplayed and underrated imo but he requires a great deal of skill, especially when it comes to his ultimate. You must really love him and his playstyle to really master him.

    Definitely!

Do note, that Ziggs is an AoE sustain damage so if you prefer Burst then you might not like him.

    His problem:

    1. since his a sustain champ he has some mana issue all trough out the game if you don't have some mana regen.
    2. Squishy, (like almost every ap carry) so not a big factor.

    His asset:

    1. with all his AoE he's a natural zoner who easily shuts down Akali in lane, I can even play him against Fizz!!
    2. Hurts alot.
    3. not bad in terms of CC.
    4. passive allows AA harassing which few ap mid can do.

Oh and he's not as hard to play as most people think.

He is tons of fun to play, has great zoning abilities and great AoE damage.

However, all of them are skillshots and his ultimate has a long delay. It will require some mastering indeed. If you have a team composition with some AoE locking ultimates (like Amumu, Leona or even Jarvan IV) the skillshotting is much easier and you will do tons of damage in teamfights :D

Besides, Ziggs has one of the best laughs in game, that alone is worth 6300IP :P

Definitely worth the cost. His abilities work great for zoning, his Q is a great poke, and his passive allows him to do some serious damage. All of this is made even moreso with a good build; a Harmony to deal with his heavy mana use, upgrade it to an Athene's to get some good AP and CDR as well, then throw on a Lich Bane to improve the boost his passive gives to his basic attacks.
Throw on a Rabadon's and one more high-AP item, and you can crush turrets in 3 to 4 shots.

It just takes practice to learn his ability ranges (especially his Q). And, appropriately enough for a guy whose attacks all have fuses, you really need to make sure to learn his timing; none of his skills will hit the instant you toss them, so you have to know how to lead your throws.

hes fun and in my opinion most champs that are on sale are worth it cause they are over priced anyway

Ziggs is fun to play. Can be strong because he has a long autoattack range, as well as poking abilities which are deceptively longer than his range indicator initially suggests. He has a number of mobility problems, even with Satchel Charge, can have difficulty managing his mana, but a safe pusher, strong burst damage, low cooldowns and great animations and voicing.

    Worth buying? Yes.
