    Least played champions?

I have just been curios guys about why some champions are not played that much. I know that unpopular picks like swain, galio, mao'kai, and yorick are all strong picks in their respective fields. What I am trying to get to in this is why some champions are not played as much as others these champions are strong just wanted someone to explain to me why no one is regularly playing these champions. Is it because no PRO player is playing them or have they just been forgotten? Btw guys I am new to mobafire and hope you guys will treat me well and help me through some of the question I ask. P.S. I am not great at typing

Some people follow the pros and play the champions that they play. Some people know which champions are stronger than others and play them. Galio, for example, is super weak imo at top, mid, support and jungle. Even with the new items and such to make their roles easier. It's just that other champions are usually MUCH stronger and therefore better.

So I never played scrub champs and Ryze and Nasus are actually really hard? I like that idea.

Anivia? Difficult? There aren't a lot of easier champs, imo.

Malzahar is seen especially at low levels because he can pretty much like win every lane. His ultimate makes him immobile and leaves him so vulnerable to 4 enemy champions which usually means that you are dead. That is why it doesn't work at higher elo but it does work at lower elo. People don't know how to counter him (Mercurial Scimitar, QSS) and lose to him because of his super high burst damage.

So OTGBionic arm you are saying that some mid champs are shunned because of the fact that they can not roam from mid so well but I mean look at malzahar he does not do to well roaming sometimes but I do see malzahar more that these other champs

but I do get what you mean it is because of skill cap that separates popular and unpopular champs thanks guys.

So basically the reason champions like galio and others are not played that much are because of there dangerously high skill cap and the fact that they are just not meta.

Escapes and gap closer are huge right now.
Poor viktor, the only one I have ever seen play him well is VMan. I wonder if mobility runes would help make them a little better?

Actually those champions Banana mentioned mostly get thrown to the wayside for extremely poor mobility (except for Karthus, he doesn't need it to do what he does). This meta shuns anything that gets caught out of place too easily or can't effectively roam from mid, which is why you see so many outdated mages at the bottom tiers of popularity.

yeah some champions are still strong but they are really gimmicky and hard to master and play to their full potential

This and the fact that some of the less popular picks are just too hard to master (like Viktor, Karthus, Anivia and a few more).

A lot of the champions that aren't played are super situational in this meta. they can be strong but only against the right enemies or if your enemy also goes off-meta. Some have the capacity to be good against a lot of champions but they require a mastery that most people don't possess because the champion may be hard to play correctly or require use of more advanced mechanics/thought processes.

Well imho, people plays mainly the strong current meta picks ... So it may seems like they copy pros yeah ;)

If picks like Viktor, Cho gath, Galio and such become stronger, people will spam them just as much as they spam lulu, leblanc, renekton and more ...

    Just my opinion tho
