    Should I main Malzahar ?

    (Sry bad English)
After Malzahar reworked, I play him a lot. And now, he has several nerf and h doesn't strong as he used to be. Every AP/ AD when fed are alaways spend gold for a QSS. He has a lot of bad matchups too. So, should I play him even I can't win every game I pick him?

    Hi there,
There was a guy who told me that he loved Malz , collected IP for him and eventually one day bought him.As he said,he took malz in the rift and scored approximate 0/9/1 (real score are quite worse then that) but he loved it and played as much as he could. If you think you can love him even playing him badly then main him but remember no one is forcing you.(just in case, he is op support not op mid laner)

    Peace.

Yes, Malzahar is super good right now in the support role simple because of his easy point and click ult. Now that Mikael's Crucible can no longer get rid of suppression malz is a great pick. He is almost unbeatable when taking trades with his voidlings.

Malzahar has a lot of utility that he brings to the table such as his suppression ult and his silence. I feel like he has a lot of merit as a support though, he's a super agressive support and since the nerf to the cost and slow on rylai's it's a great item because it adds to his utility and it's way cheaper for him.

In my own long-winded way, if you find him fun, play him! But keep in mind he's an awesome support! :)

Malzahar doesn't have that many bad matchups, really. He can safely lane against most mids, the issues are the AD assassins that can get qss and still pop you, and even those you can still safely farm by casting your spells, backing off and letting Malefic Visions do its job.

QSS on AP midlaners isn't optimal either way, and if they rush it just farm and don't bother fighting them, they delayed their own item power spike so who cares?

As for QSS, lategame you're not supposed to be diving carries to use Nether Grasp. You literally cast it on the first target that you can pick off so that your team melts them and immediately turn the fight into a 5v4 (of course this is simplified theory, but you are rarely given the chance to cast it on squishies) or you use it on their diver to stop the disruption and, again, give your team the numeric advantage.

mal is a relly good character if you know ho to play him well in certain situations, but like I normally say try your hand with other champs like the one you want to main so you can fully get a grasp of what type of character you like.

If your worry is picking him into a bad matchup, consider A) Asking someone else to pick him for you, or B) Only picking him if you know the matchup your playing.

QSS is always going to be a counter to Malzahar but most ADs/APs dont build QSS that early into the game so that's when you'll be strongest. Even if they do have QSS maybe try ulting someone who doesn't have a QSS or watch out if they use if for another reason in a team fight and then ult them.

The main thing is that if you enjoy playing Malzahar you should play him. Hope this helped :)

Of course you should play him if you enjoy him. You should just learn how to play around QSS (don't use your ult on carries that have it until they use it for something else) and how to play against different bad matchups.

The same will happen with every champion you main. The more time you put on it, the more problems you'll find.
