    Why don't you take overheal?

I came to the game early in season eight and have never changed from overheal and I take it on most champions. Why don't people use it, it is such a good rune for taking trades in and out of lane and it allows for extra lane security. Fleet Footwork, Overheal, Alacrity and Coup de Grace with Absolute Focus and Gathering Strom is the best rune set in my opinion for most if not all ADCs. So why do you take Triumph? In a losing situation it is not going to be useful and wont allow for that snowball which everyone uses it for. In a winning lane it can be useful for the snowball yet you can still snowball with Overheal and it doesn't become near to useless when behind. For kai'sa especially, less skilled players may find themselves going behind as she has a large skill curve to an extent. Kai'sa, in my opinion, is far better with overheal as she can trade with Q against a single auto-attack neglected by the overheal shield. What is the problem with overheal?

Agree that Overheal is a great rune, but you need to build around it. Ravenous Hunter for on-hit adc's and early Vampiric Scepter for crit adc's. Or have a healing support. I think people don't want to bother with this on most adc's. Especially crit adcs want their early BF.

Although those who rush Blade of the Ruined King benefit a lot from the rune naturally. I play Vayne like this, ravenous hunter + overheal with botrk rush. Kaisa, Varus or Kog can be built this way too.

Draven is great with it too since he loves to rush lifesteal.

But nerfed Fleet Footwork has no synergy with overheal anymore. 5 HP heals lul.

OK I see that yet I have played the same runeset on every ADC for a a while now and it hasn't affected me so I can't see why I should or should not switch to triumph. I find that I don't build most ADCs in typical ways either as I play a style of ADC that suits me far better than the regular ADC style. I have recently been playing the funnel strat and find overheal works in the jungle quite well on Jinx, Kai'sa and Tristana. Would you suggest that Triumph is good to be taken in funnel situations?

Overheal is definitely not bad for jungling with ranged champs and having a healthier clear.

But then if you go jungle item + 2 crit items (like a Trist or Jinx would do), it takes even longer before you have any healing against champions for the rune to do anything in a fight. So not that great overall.

Overheal Kai'Sa is really strong tho as I said in my previous post.
