Forgot to do this post yesterday but luckily today is my off day for blogging so I can do it now. It's anime reviewing time and today we'll be taking a look at Usagi Drop which in English means Bunny Drop.

Story - The story is pretty simple. 30 year old guy who lives alone and works hard decides to adopt the illegitimate six-year-old daughter of his late grandfather. She's treated as an outcast by all of her family relatives so Daikichi (main guy) feels bad for her and decides to adopt her. For a slice-of-life anime it's good that the plot is so simple. There are a few mysteries here and there (like the identity of Rin's mom) but for the most part the plot is very simple and easy to understand.

Characters - There's nothing super unique about the characters. They are pretty much normal people who try to live their everyday lives. However, it is a slice-of-life anime so that's not necessarily a bad thing. I like Rin (main female) because she's very mature for her age. Daikichi (main male) is kinda dumb sometimes but even though he's not good at taking care of Rin he still tries his best after adopting her. I really like that about him. Rin's classmate Kouki is funny at times. His mom Yukari isn't exactly interesting but she's kind-hearted and tries her best to help out Daikichi with taking care of Rin. It's funny when Daikichi is all embarrassed when he's with her (he like her). To sum up, the character are nothing special but they don't need to be. They're good enough for a slice-of-life.

Pacing - Some episodes do feel kinda slow but the for the most part the pacing is fine.

Animation - Not gonna lie, the animation is kinda weird at times. But it's a good fit for the series in my opinion. Once or if you decide to watch it you'll see what I mean.

Music - The opening is pretty good. Very catchy and it symbolizes Rin and Daikichi's mutual growth. The ending was average. Not bad but not that good either.

Ending - The anime doesn't really show the ending so I can't really say much about it. I do know how the manga ends but I don't want to spoil you guys. I really wish they could have finished the story in the anime as well. It would have probably changed people's opinion on the series but I still think they should have done it.

Final Thoughts and Score:
Usagi Drop is a really good anime if you're a fan of the slice-of-life genre. It tells you the story of how a 30 year old guy adopts a 6 year old girl but instead of him raising her they both raise themselves. Despite being 30 years old the male lead is young at heart and he grows along with the female lead. It's a really sweet and easy-to-watch anime. There are a few problems with it which is why I gave the series a 9 out of 10 on myanimelist.net but overall I recommend this series to any slice-of-life fan or anyone looking to get into slice-of-life.
