Hello people! It's Saturday so it's time for me to take a look at a Champion. Today, I've chosen Shyvana. She's actually been my new main for the past few months since Singed is rather weak in the current meta compared to other Top Laners like Renekton and Mundo. Let's get to it!
Why do you play Shyvana?:
Because she's fun, she has a cool design, her skins are great (even tho I don't own any of them), she's not hard to play and she's very strong. You could play her as a Jungler as well so that's always good.
What makes her strong/weak in your opinion?:
The fact that she deals so much raw damage without building any damage items. It's why she's so strong in the current meta. Have you seen a full tank Shyvana? She's almost impossible to kill and she still deals a ton of damage.
What do you think makes Shyvana fun to play?:
The ability to do what you want. You have a movement speed steroid, your raw stats make you super tanky and strong and you have a huge leap with your Ultimate. You could run straight for the AD Carry if you want to and depending on how fed you are you still wouldn't die even if their whole team starts attacking you.
What do you think will happen to Shyvana? Will she fall out of favor?:
I only see her NOT being picked if Riot nerfs her hard or if the meta changes significantly. If neither of those happen then Shyvana will remain a top priority pick in Solo Queue and in Competitive.

hmmm maybe its just my playstyle then? i just let them push to tower freeze it there and farm if they make the mistake to get close i just fling them into my tower for free damage. a few auto attacks mixed in there and poison they get chunked a good 2/3 of their hp no matter if they grabbed a dorans shield or not. ( here im talking before the first recall. post 6 i have to admit killing each other becomes very hard and becomes a farm lane pretty much.
Would it make a big difference because your gold 5 and im silver 3? i just find people at my level are easy to abuse mistakes like that. they just endlessly push wave to tower and then i have my fun:D also that eliminates most of singed early game weakness because you can freeze lane up until lvl 6 where you get a power spike.

Playing against opponents that aren't very skilled is a factor. But in-general if both players play the match-ups right Singed will lose or he'll go even. If he losses obviously it's bad. If he goes even it's sorta good but the enemy is also going even so it will all depend on who team fights better. If you can go even in unfavorable match-ups and are a good team fighter Singed is a pretty good pick :P

Just out of curiosity what makes you say that singed is rather weak in the current meta? I main him and have maintained a high caliber of play with him even against the likes of mundo,shyvana,nasus and whatever else is thrown at me. Just wondering on you input:)

Shyvana deals more damage than him and out-trades him once she gets lifesteal. Mundo is..well Mundo. You can't kill him and he just kites you with cleavers. His natural counters (Elise, Jayce, Teemo, Vlad) are actually beatable if you play the match-up right but it's very hard. He's definitely not a bad champion but compared to the current top tier picks for top lane there's just no reason to choose him over Shyvana, Mundo, Renekton, etc.
