|
Hey guys, I am back and this time with a discussion about the 4.3 patch notes!
So, my biggest anticipation is for the change in support items, because I main support, and these changes will increase sustainability, but while lowering mana regen and raising the cost. I liked the mana regen part at first, so I will likely miss it, but then again it will help me maintain mana problems better ;)
Also the new champion, Vel'Koz! Better be expecting your daily flood of guides for him and instant lock-ins in the queue... I'm expecting nerfs for him too, like new champions usually get.
The new fear change will be interesting, I don't know if I'll like it that enemies run away instead of randomly, 'cause it makes it easier for them to get away after they're unfeared.
Also, Heimerdinger rework! I honestly expected it because of his funky hairdo (that some, I know, like and will miss) and splash art. I really like his new art, he looks very dashing in his redone suit, although a I'm wondering about that weird arm contraption strapped on his head in the blueprints.

Anyways guys, please share your thoughts, questions and ideas!

they killed Mobility Boots. I wouldn't mind lowering it to 35 or stuff but about a half? In late game, by the time the boots cooldown will be down, you will be DEAD unless you Flash over the wall and get lucky. I guess we'll see more boots diversity on supports, as ninja, mercury, lucidity and sorcs seems to be viable all of a sudden.
(smart move - instead of fixing useless Boots of Swiftness, they fck up Mobility Boots to force us buy them) :D
Champions nerfs are overall good, have no complaints, as well as buffs.
Fear changes seems also good - in a way. Since you know exactly where they are going to run, you can use it to your advantage with skillshots and stuff.
Jungle items - wtf? They buffed jungle monsters, and continue to nerf jungle items. Is this the way how they want to make duo top lane available? By making jungling so hard, that you will be underleveled and behind with gold, as if you were sharing the lane on top?
“We like the changes we made to the Spirit Stone line in patch 4.1, so these are just some general tweaks to promote a wider variety of junglers.”
Yeah, sure...
Ancient Coin - not available in SoloQ for low elo players anymore. Only the 2nd stage and the Medallion. Because if you get bad ADC that can't last hit, you're done.
But since Doran's Shield is still viable, who would start with Coin, right?
As for the jungle item changes, time to pick up my old time favorite again - Amumu :3
Xerath is a long range siege mage but I think Val has actually better range potential + spam on Q and synergizes better with hard engages. However I hate new Xerath, trading the introduction of a good ability (W) for two mediocre ones (E and R)...eh.
at least we all know lulu is going to be the strong thing for the next 2-3 weeks
also i dont think velkoz is going to get nerfed too bad, hes immobile in a game where mobility is what wins games, and he has the whole "snare self for damage" that malz and xerath have in their ults, and every skill is a skillshot so they get some added power, if anything his ults base damage might be lowered but theyll increase its ratio in return i think
I doubt he'll get ratio increases. He deals true damage innately. If anything I think this will enable him to build a tad more defensively than your average mage.

...no guess not, **** that lane.
Also new spellthief is gonna come back and bite me in the *** now that people are probably gonna restart playing Lulu support in addition to her mid version.
Hello Boots of Swiftness.
Sad, but true.
Just.
Getting around won't ever be the same.
