Items that highly impact the game like zhonyas and abyssal are picked more often
Rylai's appears as one of those "bulkiness" items that has a nice passive, but it's not going to be core if you don't need it. IMO "

MR quints are almost always necessary to win lane but on champs like TF you can pick ap/lvl
MS quints are generally worse than flat ap on most champs
some champs use them quite well, like kat kennen vlad
