So I should be staying away from philo as nunu? What should I build instead? Any ideas for a build that would fit my play style?
There are a few AP support items that are worth grabbing if you're ahead. Namely, Twin Shadows and "that ice-sword-thingy-whose-name-I-can't-remember".
Grabbing philosopher is up for preferance, if you're ahead, I advice taking both it and Sightstone in one buy.
I see nothing bad in picking up a faerie charm, as Nunu has an inbuilt heal, but can run out of mana even with his passive - if you want to go aggressive, it's not too shabby a buy.
It's true that basically, sightstone will end up giving you "more gold" than Philosopher stone. You save money that you'd be spending in normal wards, and with gold/5 runes you won't net that much more with philo.
Also, during your early laning phase, you should really be leveling up blood boil. Blood boil is such a steroid for your ADC, that it'll likely net more damage than a given
