You should be taking magic penetration marks, they really help early game ganks where people onlyl have 30ish magic resistance.

for your runes, take magic resist glyphs. Also or your quints, take Potency. These choices are realy the best on vlad.

here are my comments:
you should start with something you can build into philo stone, like regrowth pendant.
you should buy mercury's treads by late game, because you need it later.
also your skilling order. Take a point in dredge line at level 3, for ganking. Also, mobility. "

I dunno much about irelia, so all I can say is this is a nice guide!
I would like to comment that you may not want to buy guardian angel, maybe something like warmogs or a hp item. Because frozen mallet is the only hp item you have, atmas impaler only gives you around 53 AD.
