Views: 1002 Champ Enjoyment VS Champ Performance
|
Alright, this is something I was thinking about the other day. Naturally, you would think it's natural to be good at playing champions you enjoy because you play them and put more thought into them naturally. I fortunately obey this principle, I just so happen to love the game play and design of every champion I play well.
I have friends on the other hand that definitely do not. I have one that loves a number of champions that he can't play at all, and numerous that are really good with champions that they just don't want to play at all.
So Mobafire, what are your thoughts/experiences with this???

I think that learning 2-3 different champs for each role will keep you flexible enough to at least aid even the most trollish team.
Just for kicks, here's my top picks and why.
MID
- Swain (Just a beast. After 3rd Item (usually a Hextech Revolver or straight into a Will of the Ancients, he's almost unbeatable in lane.
- Zilean because he has a tendency to throw the other team off of their game. Badly.
- Graves I know it does not fit the current meta, but graves is my #1 mid choice against Mid AP Champs that I just can never seen to lane against. Examples of when I choose graves: Against a Kassadin or Morgana.
AD CARRY BOT
Graves, Corky. Graves because he's like the Super AD Carry, with a mix of them all. Corky because he's fun.
SUPPORT BOT
Zilean - Soraka - Taric in that order. Never choose Zil if bot has no sustain. Soraka pwnz all. Taric takes practice and I still suck with him but can be an amazing tank support.
JUNGLE
Master Yi, Skarner, Lee Sin. These are not favorites of mine. I cannot seem to play a jungle to save my ***. However, 8/10 when I have one of these junglers on my team, I watch them get fed like hell before the 10 minute mark.
TOP
Wukong. That is all.
Come to think of it I do break the rule once. I'm usually a great rammus but I got bored of that one.
Well said Asian
Mains are fun. New is more interesting. I still like my mains though.
If you get 'bored' with a champion you used to 'enjoy' and mastered, then that is a good example of being 'good with a champion you do not enjoy'.
Likewise, if you 'enjoy' a new champion that requires a different playstyle in which you are used to, you may 'suck', but like the challenges it presents, even if you may never get past those challenges.
Sounding really philosophical here :o
