So I haven't seen
Twitch in like 30 games (I've seen more
Corki than this rat, actually) and suddenly he's in every single game as of yesterday. Not sure if I'm being messed with by random chance or if he's suddenly FOTM, but might as well throw some quick numbers out there for people wondering why he does a billion damage in lane. (Going to ignore levels past 9 as that is no longer early game).
12 extra true damage per hit until he hits level 6 already seems pretty bad, but that's not all; just having the
Deadly Venom debuff on you is extremely bad, because every auto/
Venom Cask will refresh the poison in addition to increasing stacks. So let's say you have 3 stacks on you and it's about to run out, but
Twitch throws another autoattack at you. BAM! You now are poisoned yet again for another 6 seconds and will take the full 48 true damage from the DoT, even though he only attacked you once.
Being debuffed by
Deadly Venom stacks in lane is almost as bad as being tagged with
Mark of the Storm, as the only real way to deal with the mark is to stay out of range until the poison wears off, causing you to lose valuable CS in the process. Trading with
Twitch thus feels extremely difficult for a most AD Carries unless your support can heal/shield and his cannot (which really should not happen).
This is a terrifying amount of hurt; because autoattacks apply stacks of his passive, every auto Twitch lands basically deals 21 extra damage (15 + 24 * 0.25). Fortunately Twitch has no real "nuke" like
Piltover Peacemaker, but Expunge is 1200 range and not a skillshot. Avoiding its damage means you have to be out of Twitch's autoattack range, making it very easy for a good Twitch to zone you out just by existing. If his support started lane with 2 pinks, then you generally can't do anything but pray and have your jungler camp bot to defend.
How do you guys generally handle a
Twitch lane without having
Thresh/
Nami or
Caitlyn? I'd love to hear some feedback.

Deadly Venom: Twitch's basic attacks debuff the target with poison, dealing 12 true damage over 6 seconds, stacking up to 6 times to deal 72 true damage total. This damage doubles once Twitch reaches level 6.

- Expunge: Deals 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80 physical damage to all nearby enemies affected by Deadly Venom. Expunge deals an additional 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 (+0.2 per ability power) (+0.25 per bonus attack damage) damage for each stack of Deadly Venom that is active on the target, for a maximum of 130 / 170 / 210 / 250 / 290 (+1.2 per ability power) (+1.5 per bonus attack damage) damage with full stacks.

How? Zoning, works on every other ADC as well. Don't let him stack that poison, buy 1 pink for the lane bushes in case he stealths and tries to harass.
Twitch is extremely squishy and has no other escape mechanism apart from Ambush. So, if you see him come out of it, stun him and go balls deep - he has no steroid after that and no means to escape.
From the ADC perspective, basically those who can safely harass/poke at him and deal damage quicker than he does.
I'd say the best way to handle a Twitch lane is to lock him up and burst him, or pick something that can trade quickly and back away without taking too many autos. He only gets really strong if he's allowed to extend the fight/trade.
