Views: 711 New ranked system and my thoughts.

Well lets get down to it shall we? So there is a new ranked system much like the one in almost every other game and I quite like it. So far I've had more wins because ELO hell just doesn't exist higher up now since the system is more tuned to your skill as are other players. There are a few critiques I could give though such as the way they made the rank up system is a little dodgy at times. Such as earning more wins a row gets you more points sounds normal , but lets just say you just get really lucky and win about 20 games in a row. It makes for ranking up very fast and easy, granted it does make sense to earn more points since you're performing well, but I see that it may back fire and put you into a ranking that you just are not ready for.
Don't get me wrong the way that the new system works keeps low ELO players at a low rank there for keeping them out from ruining your game and ELO. My second criticism would be how the promotion works. So the idea is you get 100 points then you get a chance to be promoted by winning a best of three. Well now that's O.K. and all, but truthfully I've had games where I don't win two out of three in a gaming session. I like the idea of best of five because it's a little more room for error. Now my third and final criticism would be that we didn't see a reset in ELO rather they kept you in the same rank you were previously just it's now more refined so the climb is a little more drastic this time around. In season 2 I was almost gold ranked then I hit an unfortunate period of time (the holidays) where a lot of casual players seemed to be played and it dropped my rank. So I had to climb back up , but it's not so bad now because ELO hell doesn't really seem to exist anymore unless you're really low in rank.
So I guess it's not so bad that there wasn't a reset I just hate the climb as do many others.
Oh and as for my daily "free week" tales I'll be doing that once a week instead only when a new rotation comes out to speak about the champions themselves the strong points and the week points of them. Also to discuss the choices themselves and how it could impact the week as far as games go for free week players.
Oh if you would like to leave some feedback I would love to read it, it's always nice to see what other people think on these subjects.

New ranked system is beast. I'm on a 7 win hot streak and I still haven't lost in ranked since it came out. Surprisingly I lost a lot of normal games today. What could this mean :O (jk with that question..I know exactly what it means)That's awesome I'm on a winning streak as well right now 9 games in a row it's awesome.
