"OR, you could learn how to take objectives instead of getting a lot of kills and floundering. When you get kills, take shit like towers dragons and inhibitors. High KDA means absolutely nothing."

I'm diamond1 with only ~60 total solo queue games in season 3. Skipped 3 divisions. AMA
In 10 placement matches and about 45-55 additional solo queue games, I went from plat 4 where I was placed to Diamond 1.
