Ever heard Vi saying, " I am my own back-up?"
Well whoever listens that, you're heck of a Vi... Because what I found out is that Vi can have deadly advanatage over the others at the level of 13-15 whereas lvl 1-8 not much... I don't care what others said.. Well a bit of those came into use in the middle of combat...
For example:
Improving and just improving 'E' till get 'R' is a great idea.. Firstly Vault Breaker is useless itself and hence needed a support of 'R'- Assault & Battery . Why? Hence comes the item guide....

Maxing
Agreed! That's the potential Vi has over others! We must maxed that... Well I am not sure about masteries and runes but spell, I focus based on IGNITE and FLASH... FLASH is to improvise a lack of speed before using Vault Breaker on summoner like Trundle or Nunu or even Ashe who has a slowing effect or speed effect (Trundle)

you sure hydra was affecting you?
It was, as I tried to get it asap, I was stuck with basic boots for a long time. Then some lanes got stronger, so I had to buy some armor... all in all it was not worth my time to save money for hydra. I had to jungle a lot, not "wasting" time on lanes, since there was no chance for a succesful gank. Therefore I left it vulnerable for the enmy jungler to come.
Indeed it helped me because as a melee user, i intend to enlarge my capacity or so called ranged attacks.. A cm apart and i might lose a hefty chance to strike upon the enemy in the jungle.... but there's surely cons behind hydra... and maybe you had gave one... the price tag...
Try BotRK. It has a nice active, that can make up for the hydra bonus. I would recommend hydra only if you are fed and way ahead - and want to do a split push. Otherwise BotRK is imho better, as it gives you AS bonus.
what are you saying....
If its about me, I am simply emphasizing that crucial moments like a split sec can make a difference with ravenous hydra. Furthermore, it enhances the range attack a melee user can have.

- Brutalizer
- Last Whisper
- Randuin's
- Black Cleaver
- Blade of the Ruined King or Guardian Angel, depends on the game
Max R>Q>E>W for the best ganking potential, or R>E>Q>W for fast jungling.
Also I think Lucidity boots are a waste on Vi, her cooldowns are pretty low. Mobility, Tabi or Mercury gives you more advantage.
