Well, except when the manga is popular enough to make a significant dent in the $3200 daily revenue, in that case, too bad, you greedy scanlator. Or scanlators can request that their releases are posted on Mangafox with a delay. And Mangafox will comply... well, again, except if the manga is popular enough to have impact on the Mangafox revenue. But otherwise, it's a fine honest scanlator-friendly site. But then, there's a bad apple among online manga readers named mangahere.com. Definitely nothing like the upstanding Mangafox. They don't respect the scanlators at all. They host any manga they feel like. They don't honor any delay periods. They take beautiful images that people have put so much work into and haphazardly slap their own watermarks on them, as if they're the ones who produced them. They take out scanlator credit pages to hide the fact that someone else worked on the manga. Then, to rub it in, they claim on their Facebook pages that they're the ones who translate the manga, rather than the scanlators they steal from. Clearly, they're a terrible site that's completely different from Mangafox, which respects scanlators (sometimes). That's what I thought, but there were some misgivings. For example, why do ads for Mangahere appear on Mangafox, if they're supposed to be competitors? Why did these two unrelated sites share the same Google Analytics account for a while? In order to dispel these slanderous rumors, I decided to check the domain registration information. As expected, mangafox.com is registered to Noez Work, 1133 Broadway Suite 706 New York, New York 10010, and the admin is Yung, Jacky http://websites.faqs.org/mangafox.com/ But what about the dastardly mangahere.com? But anyway, I wasn't trying to give them an objective rank relative to the genre, but to explain why I prefer one over the other. The fact that I like the genre plays a part in that. Objectively I don't really have an idea yet since only a few chapters of the other two have been released. Though I do rate the characters overall in X Amnesia a lot higher than KYM.[spoiler]Overall I find the ghost surprisingly believable, her fear, how she hides her fear, the fear-driven enthusiasm, the "dark" version, all backed up by the decent backstory of a sacrificial offering. In heavy contrast with the elven princess just now, ignoring the already outrageous plot because harem is harem.[/spoiler][/quote]

And following that train of logic one should ask oneself the following question: Is this really worth reading? If I'm constantly waiting, craving for progress/climax and not getting anything of the sort for an unreasonable length of time then I'm bound to get annoyed at the lack of said elements. Why would I read a series that annoys me and lacks something I want? If you want good romance I've got at least one series I don't think you've read, and I'm currently scouting two others, one of which is pretty good so far. Bottom line is: there are far better series to read if you want romance with progress. So is there if you want something to rub off to. Don't go for an in-between medium.[/quote]
