Also, is it just me or does it look like Nisekoi is going to move towards something that, from afar, might look like a sort of conclusion which, in other words and with lack of better description, could be called an.. end?

I.. I'm sorry, I don't know what happened.

After I was asked many many, many many many times (though not by you people), I will watch Parasyte and give you a live review of my thoughts.

First few seconds: The mouth opening like some octopus thingy has been done so many times before, how original. School scene: is that the breast grab? Stopping a car by jumping in really fast by accident? The name of the search engine (BinGo!!) is original, I'll give you that. Also the meet-up with the parasite was funny. The parasites have too many awesomeness though, the way they can reform is insane. At least the parents didn't end up trying to eat him in the first episode, still calling for at least one of them to get controlled.

Best part? Where he tries to stab his right arm and he breaks the point and throws it right back at him.

Though, to be honest, I'm just looking for the thrash right now. For what I can say about a series after watching only a single episode, I think it's pretty decent. The parasite's personality feels spot-on and there are some funny moments. The gore is a bit too much for me but the animation quality certainly isn't bad. I'll probably watch a few more episodes and maybe finish it.

The parasyte's personality will change a bit towards the later episodes as they begin to live with humans.
Which will make up for some great random laughs, literally lol.

Surprisingly, at first I didn't like the art style and the animation, but it started to fit the story so well, I decided to just enjoy it.

About the translator dropping Kekkon. Kinda to be expected. That story started off quite interesting, and then proceeded to walk into every damn shounen-harem trap with alot of ****block out there lol.

No Game No Life or Zankyo no terror based on you can probably watch them in 2-3 days and those two stand out for me at least. Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei is also nice.

You're going about it wrong. Trim off some of the fat on that list. There's a good amount that just isn't worth watching.

List of series that should be avoided or read as manga instead

I hope that helps. I can help cutting a few more off if you're interested, but that would be more guesswork since I don't know them. That said however, I am really good at guessing. It's always been a talent of mine.
(i.e: taking short looks summaries to guess the overall quality of it)

I'm proud to say I know most of Searz's list. :D

I would trim your list down to (though I definitely didn't even check out half of your list):
Neon Genesis Evangelion (an old mecha with a bit of story, and that's the only reason it's on this list)
Log Horizon (SAO with story. Sorta)
No Game No Life (Pretty funny ecchi comedy with superhuman mc)
Noragami (personal preference)
Not that this is all that I enjoyed, but I think these are pretty good.

Other than that I agree on most what Searz pointed out reading Berserk and Mirai Nikki instead of watching. And a well executed yandere is more than enough a reason to read it ^^

From the looks of it it's almost all shounen though, you might want to check out a different genre if you want something fresh. Clannad wouldn't be the first on that list, but if you want to enjoy it you better watch it before you watch other stuff :P

Out of pancakes slappiz's list I would recommend the following:
* Avatar The Last Air Bender
* Ghost in the Shell
* Monster
* Magi (first season at least)

The above anime are just really good in quality in general. AtlA (shounen fantasy), monster (mature drama) and GitS (mature police) have amazing story, pacing, characters, animation and much more. I'd definitely would watch one of these if I were you, just pick the genre you like the most :P

Magi (shounen fantasy) is also really damn good although I find some of the battle scenes taking a tad long. If you don't mind it you might also like that a lot.

Whatever you do, don't watch fairy tail. The only thing that was enjoyable about that anime was the music and the characters. However, the story is just so bad and they add waaaay too many characters to the story that the longer you keep watching the more you suffer. It's not worth it, don't watch it :o

I'll try to give you my opinion of shows I've watched, I'll write subjectively, from my point of view what is enjoyable to me and why:

Mirai Nikki - Anime started well so I decided to watch it whole, I kinda regret it now, because at some points I wanted to bash my head into wall because of stupidity and illogicality of some actions of characters. Main character is probably worst of all anime I have ever watched, other characters aren't any better; Yuuno, pink haired girl is only interesting character in whole anime. Plot didn't get any better as anime progressed, actually it became worse, ending wasn't anything memorable, I've watched it 6 months ago and I can't remember it. If you are planning on watching it, don't watch it first from this last, leave it for when you don't have anything else to watch.

Berserk - Haven't watched anime, but I've read manga. Manga is considered to be better than anime. Seriously, that is probably best manga I've read, art is superb to everything else.
Story is butchered in anime, here's spoiler free article from wikipedia: "Though the manga storyline remains largely intact, many changes were made, with the modification or elimination of characters , some of the series' most violent and brutal scenes, and material that would have extended the storyline beyond the planned run of the anime series. Themes of friendship and ambition are more developed and emphasized than those of causality and the supernatural, all of which were made with the approval of series creator Kentarō Miura. "
I'd put this on high watching/reading priority on your list.

Ghost in the Shell - Older anime set in futuristical Japan, with detective plot and beliveable characters. I enjoyed it.

Bleach - I've watched whole Bleach anime few years ago, don't know if there are any more new episodes (if there are they are probably fillers). Bleach - aka 50% or more fillers, if you want to watch it, watch all regular episdes, avoid fillers because it's just waste of time, whatever happens in those episodes has no effect on anime, characters die in fillers and reappear in normal episodes like nothing happened.
It's mediocre shounen, first few arcs are very good and whole Arrancar arc is enjoyable.

Neon Genesis Evangelion - It's very popular anime from 90's, it seems at first like regular mecha anime, but it's much more. Remember if you watch it: watch first 24 episodes, skip last 2 episodes (and never watch them or watch them later) and watch film "End of Evangelion", that's official ending to story.
I recommend watching it.

No Game No Life - Anime with unique art style, many ecchi moments, and catering to otaku's, having that in mind, anime was still enjoyable to me, although I would rather watch some other anime from your list first.

Sidonia no Kishi - Forgot to write something here. My opinion on this is mixed, story was good, it's slightly misterious, but too much emphasis was put on unnecessary highschool-like romance in my opinion. It's ok anime, i think that 2nd season will be released soon.

Fairy Tail - Another generic shounen in which friendship is answer to every problem, it's funny in beginning but it got boring later to me, also healthy amount of ecchi.

Akame ga Kill - Tried watching it, but dropped it after less than episodes, it started well but then it became unwatchable to me, it was just bad.

Avatar: The Legend of Korra - I watched first season, it was ok, but couldn't bring myself to watch more of it. Some people really like it, give it a try.

Accel World - It's mostly brought up in comparison to SAO, as better anime of similar type, although it's not much better.

Hunter x Hunter (2011) - It's definitely my most favourite shounen anime, subjectively and objectively it's better than the other anime of the same type. It has no fillers, characters are interesting and story is excellent, only downside is that it ran out of story and knowing the author, we'll wait few more years for continuation.
I highly recommend watching it.

Fate/zero - It was good, I kinda rate it lower than most anime sites, it didn't impress me that much. It's still really good anime, I recommend watching it.

Shinsekai Yori - Oh boy, one of my most favourite anime. It has bad pacing, main 4 characters are regarded as one sided and flat; but still story was awesome, it touches on morality of human race. I highly recommend watching it, you might or might not like it.

Log Horizon - I liked it very much, after getting disappointed with SAO and Accel world, i thought this one would be different. It was better for the most part, season 1 was very very good, but I dropped it on season 2, it became boring and stale, story stopped progressing and unimportant characters with their unimportant occupations became center of the story.

Zankyou no Terror - It was very good at the start, until I realised it was aimed towards edgy teenagers; main characters are terrorists that doing acts of terrorism with everyone's safety in mind (LOL). I dropped it after appearance of certain character.

5 Centimeters per Second - It's 1 hour movie divided in 3 parts, that follows character through different stages of growing up and his love interests. If you like pretty looking anime, this one should be top of your list.

Monster - One of my most favourite anime, it's psychological thriller following doctor who unknowingly saved life of "monster" and then his goal to correct that mistake. It's sometimes slow and seemingly boring to watch. It's longer than usual anime shows, watch it if you have time, you shouldn't be disappointed in the end.

I disagree. Unless you're really into the idea of a yandere it's really not worth reading nor watching. The ending is especially bad.
I don't know if there's a quality difference between the manga and anime.

I disagree. It started out pretty terrible too.

We seem to agree on most accounts but this one.
I really don't get it. Why is HxH so well liked? I read 100chapters and aside from some fairly clever puzzles/showdowns I found nothing I'd call good. And the bad art definitely hurt the series.
It's really immature, lacking tact in the way it treats several topics. I'd understand it being liked by younger audiences in their early teens, but beyond that it's a mystery.
It's possible that it's another case of rose-tinted glasses.
