These
Zilean changes are pretty interesting - giving him more options that aren't braindead. If
Zilean outshines support
Annie then so be it. Support
Annie is probably still going to be picked for her instagib / damage potential. Also it's the go to for those elitists who only go mid and have to support.
I believe her AoE stun wasn't particularly special as a support with Leona and Sona running amok. But I do see the problem with Zilean's aoe stun being on a basic ability :/

+rep is appreciated if I helped you in anyway! :D

Well, Zil slows you down by 99%, how to miss a skill shot then if the enemy has no escape? And combine that with a Guardian Angel...
He will be the number 1 counter to the "kill one guy and push objectives" comps. However, his slow will enourage them.

I don't see why one champion becoming good means that another is suddenly unviable. I'm positive that Annie will still see a lot of play.
And if you think it's always necessary to flash ult in order to land an AoE stun, you clearly don't play/know much about Annie support.

Why on earth would this make Annie unviable? They're different champions with different roles.
On a sidenote, during the later stages of the game, Annie, be it mid or support, is reliant on flash to create picks/initiate because of how hard it is for her to reach enemy squishies (the competent ones, mind you).
Obviously, it's not always necessary, but ideally, you want your flash to be up to create good picks and catch enemy squishies offguard. Otherwise, as a support, you're limited in what you can do so you're most likely going to end up peeling.

Holy ****, I can't express my hatred for this kind of threads. If I wanted to be dank memer, I'd say they trigger me.
First of all, how can you come to that conclusion when they announced 1st round of changes for Zilean on PBE just yesterday, that aren't even his final changes, also I bet you haven't played him on pbe. This dramatical tone over possible changes is on another level of stupidity.
If anything will make annie worse pick, it won't be zilean for sure. Current rise of Leona popularity makes annie drop, not ****ing zilean changes.

But what this
Zilean changes could do is creating new "protect the carry" comps, which is actually a counter to those "pick off 1 guy and win" comps and very long games.
In this type of comps, I don't think
Annie would peform great. Only if she can 5 man tibbers drop.
See how this statement could be right if it results into a metashift?

Now that Zilean has a massive AOE stun, what will become of support Annie? Zilean uses far less resources at a much safer distance then Annie to pull off relatively the same thing. Also, he has a full blown revive, something Annie couldn't do. Yes, early in the laning phase, Annie would be better, due to the lack of cooldown reduction, but come around mid or late game, all Zilean has to do is throw a bomb on an allied initiator, then throw another bomb on them when they do. Annie needs a flash and her ult to do this.
I guess, all I have to say is that Annie, you have served us well. But, unfortunately, it is time (no pun intended) for a new challenger to step up to the plate.
