Shaco players are terrifying during lane phase. The time where you invade them early is long gone since many players expect it while others just gracefully farm their jungle taking their bit while you stay 2 minutes doing nothing hoping for a kill in vain.You can do gromp/golemns and buff without barely losing hp and get level 2, then something else for a level 3 faster than various champions.
Deceive allows you to gank from various places and once you get Mobility Boots you don't even gank from the jungle, you just come from the lane, Deceive and you're on top of them with an obligatory crit, Chilling smite for an extra slow and setup, perhaps even ignite to compliment your burst. He is REALLY scary for many midlaners and you can't even ward against him on that spot.This doesn't mean he's the best jungler around because he can fall off and not do well enough early, but you're clearly underestimating him. I mean, I may be 4/5 (win/loss) at plat 2 with
Shaco but I average 10.6 Kills and 10.8 assists with a higher death count than I wanted (6.8) but he is a suicide bomber of sorts.

Shaco's teamfighting is iffy. I dislike Shaco purely because he's always ganking my lane. Past few times there has been an opposing Shaco a pink word doesn't suffice. My adc will died immediately and I'll start the walk(or teleport) of shame.

Well if you're supporting you can try having a pink on the bush closest to you.
Yes, his teamfighting is iffy. I think the greatest thing he can hope for is being so fed he can destroy a carry before people react (which is why I try to do with my jungler item + static shyv + ravenous hydra), but he can also finish the job that the poke did, etc. My greatest weakness is that trying to surprise people sometimes ends up with me passing a ward without knowing and getting buttganged.
He also splitpushes pretty well tho. He's an early/mid champ, you just terrorize everyone and pray it's enough, whereas, say, Jarvan terrorizes early and lategame is hard to kill while still providing utility and lockdown
