Hello All,

I am weablewobble and I will start by asking for a movement. I have played this game on and off since DOTA in Warcraft3/frozen throne. There has been one sole factor for me quitting every time. Toxicity… This is rarely oriented at me because I have been playing for so long (for those who wonder; no, I am not ranked but that is beside the point).

Nearly every game I play there is someone mad about their team or the other team. I have played so many games in my life (I am 28 years old and have been gaming since I was 4) and this is the only game that is this toxic. Again, I ask for a change…

As a community I implore you all to be positive in your games. There are many players who play with you who may be new or may not know there character yet that could be an amazing player. To flame these people is a complete hypocrisy. We all started at some point and all needed guidance to be where we are wherever that may be.

I do not ask you to say it is OK to feed, OK to rage quit, or OK to AFK, I merely ask you to support the community. This is one of the greatest games I have ever played and there is a reason why it is the most played game in the world; this is one of the most dynamic skill oriented ever created and it is completely free.

Build the potential of other players, build the friendly environment of gaming I know this game has.
Instead of raging against a player that is doing poorly, attempt to mentor them to improve in the future. I beg you all to show your support instead of toxicity. Mentor another player; create an environment where new stars can thrive and new people want to play this amazing game.

This is my one and only post on this forum and I will not return to reap any vanity. If you wish to join this trend friend someone that needs help and assist them.

My knowledge about this game is minimal compared to so many players but please feel free to friend me and ask me anything. If I cannot assist you directly I will give you all the knowledge I do have and steer you to a place I think may have the answers you are looking for.

In the end, I beg you to move towards more positive play and build this wonderful game into a more positive environment.

Thanks for reading any of this

The best thing I would suggest to you is to just find more people to play with regularly in pre-mades. That way you don't have to worry to much about toxic players on your team. That's what I ended up doing for the longest time.

Toxicty exists in League for so many different reasons that it's just best to find people that are like minded to play with, and not contribute to the toxicity yourself.

If you are the NA server add me "Rusted Gold" and I would be more then happy to play with you.

Idk, I think the toxicity in league taught me a lot about people and why they act the way they do. If you want to be working against toxicity, the best thing you can do is not being a toxic ******* yourself. Realise what you don't like about certain behaviours in league and make sure you do not act like that behaviour that you don't like yourself. You cannot simply create a movement against it, because people have different definitions of toxicity. One person might praise the other for making a joke about a bad smite, the other one will be furious by it. One person considers a point of improvement to be toxic, the other one considers the not listening to points of improvements to be toxic.

So you can't really create a movement against toxicity, because toxicity is just as much based on how you read certain text as much as you write down certain text. Just focus on yourself, it is much easier to do and much more effective.
Change is gooooood

This is very true.

I personally have very little flame in my games (a very toxic game would happen once every 100+ games), and that's because I know how to deal with those types of people. If someone starts whining about how your Ashe is 1-5 and losing you the game, don't agree with the person or disagree with them, mediate the situation. "It doesn't matter, we can still win" "We still have 2 dragons over them, so it doesn't matter" "She'll get stronger later anyway" "it's hard not to die against their team" type of things will smoothen things over, whereas saying stuff like "stfu you're not doing any better" "look at your score" "stop talking/flaming" will just make them angrier.

Nice request m80, while you are at it, you should solve hunger in 3rd world countries, global inflation, economic crysis and end all wars.

World hunger might be a harder problem to solve! Unfortunately the most toxic player I have seen is...my son! Yikes! He is getting better but I have to remind him that he would easily climb out of Silver if he did not rage...maybe instead of killing the 0-8 Garen again you should help out your "noob feeding" mid lane!

I really dislike trolls. Just played a game with a Gnar top who was loosing lane to Sion. He raged at our jungler for not helping then abandoned lane to spend the rest of the game stealing jungle farm from our jungler. Yeah, we lost that game.

Good luck.

The values you have, while cheesy, is good. But do accept that it's impossible for you to change the community of millions of players by yourself. I'm grateful that you are at least doing what you can in game to create a positive environment. Sadly, that's probably all you can do by yourself in this community.

Thank you to MissMaw for the signatures!

^ Hey that looks like General Esdeath in your sig!

Other than that, this seems like the war on drugs. It's just better to avoid interacting with the people. Or maybe chat with your teammates about their skills with the champ they are using.
