I used to play him a lot in Season 4 but I don't really know any specifics concerning matchups anymore. On [[Renekton]] you want to build defensive items such as [[Randuin's Omen]], [[Thornmail]] or [[Sunfire Cape]] against AD and [[Spirit Visage]], [[Banshee's Veil]] or [[Maw of Malmortius]] against AP. Your best damage options are probably [[The Black Cleaver]] and [[Ravenous Hydra]]. He functions as a bruiser like Joxuu mentioned before and when being ahead in lane you can rush damage items to abuse your early game strengths. With the course of the game he falls off a bit. You can check out builds at www.probuilds.net if you're interested in items built by players from the competetive scene / high elo players. I wouldn't recommend playing him in mid lane or in the jungle at all.[/quote]
