So he has been out for a few days now and from personal experience I think he will get a few nerfs. Especially the slow from the passive effect.

I've played him mostly jungle so far but also some mid and top, but I've had most success with my jungle Ekko.

In the jungle I've been testing AP and On Hit Effects builds and they both been working really good and tbh he has ridiculously strong ganks with his ability to chain his CC.

Is it me or does he seem really unbalanced atm or is it just that people have no idea how to handle him?

His numbers are overtuned, and nearly everything about his kit is toxic. If he takes some damage nerfs he'd be balanced, but he's still about as fun to play against as Nidalee.

Pretty much. He's got every thing any champion would want. On hit effects, movement speed steroids, slows, a stun, a dash, high burst, high dps, a shield, and a get out of jail free card.

Riot kept piling **** on him. How the **** did they think it was ok to let this champion exist outside the PBE in this state?

70% slow and a movement speed buff and pretty much a guaranteed 2,25 sec stun if you chain it with the passive.

I think he's fine.

His early game is pretty strong, but late game teamfights are kinda bad for him because E Q and autos aren't enough to instakill squishies unless he's super super fed, and if your team is coordinated he likely won't even be in range.

I guess this problem is kind of avoided when you get a zhonyas and jump in, zhonyas, and your clone catches up then you delete the other team when they group up on you but the same can be said about other aoe champions like Fidd Kennen etc plus you can always just walk away when he zhonyas lol.

His Q doesn't have enough range nor width to actually poke around so if your team has no frontline you're like completely useless in teamfights unless the other team walks into a 5 man ult + stun, which given some time will happen less as people are more comfortable playing vs him.

He's an insanely strong split pusher though. With his damage, self healing, mobility, shields, slows, and stuns, it's impossibly hard to get away from him. I think this guy is going to be the Thresh of mid laners

I'm fine with him. maybe because I make a guide for him and play him? Nah, I would even play him after a nerf.
But I think he's fine. I had many games, I killed everything because I was fed. And then there were games where I died like hell, because squishy etc..
If you go in one time with your Phase Dive, you have to watch out where you are. Sometimes you are too deep, and then you are dead. His Q isn't that easy to hit, too. Atleast not when it comes back.

His W takes a long time, has a high cooldown but for that a nice stun and shield. But look at Riven, she has a shield like him. And a lower cooldown for that :p

His ult is no problem also.If you fight with him, but walk the whole time, his ult doesn't hit you. And if you do damage over time, and dont burst, he dont heals much tho.

Many think he is OP, but I just can say (From my build)

-Passive dmg +
-W Passive when he's low +
-Lich Bane Passive +
-Luden's Echo Passive

=> MUCH Damage! :D And that's how I play him. No wonder that an ADC dies instantly when he just has half life left :p

I enjoy him really much, and I think he's fine like he is. But okay, the only thing they could nerf a bit would be his Ult scale for the damage. That's really a bit too high.
But for me Riven is much stronger and don't get nerft :/ - Oh wait, she got: 5 Movement Speed :D

He has too many options, too much room to outplay and to display player skill while he still has stupidly high base numbers and scaling.

His numbers are too high. I have a feeling rito wanted to make 3 different champs but ended up making one and not knowing where to go with him LOL
