Since I've had the english patch of this for about 6 months already, I don't have much to say. It was fun, and it was difficult. Much harder than the previous games. The new XP system makes it so that it's almost impossible to solo the game with one "hero" Pokemon, and it's also difficult to do if you try to raise a balanced team. I haven't even done post-E4 yet.

Yeah I noticed that, Bouffalant might as well be a bling'd Tauros and Serperior IS (doesn't just look like, IS) a green Milotic.

might as well call it the "bug generation"

Plenty of bug pokemanz are awesome. I've swept plenty teams just with Vespiquen (defense order is pretty OP). STAB + 90 power attack order is awesome too along with Toxi-stall. It just gets gay when the opponent pulls out Steel pogeymanz. /cry

Ok, but there are very few that have great base stats. Of the top 100 pokemon (in terms of total base stats), only 3 bug pokemon are in the list. All 3 of them are from pokemon black/white.

Yes but you don't take into consideration team synergy and prediction. I don't think that having one certain pokemon would put you at a large advantage or disadvantage but there's no point in saying things bad about a certain type of pokemon if the base stats aren't great. Movepool also has to be taken into consideration. I mean Shuckle, for example, has great defensive base states, it's ridiculous but he's UU for a reason: He doesn't have great team synergy at all.

Why have Vespiquen without something like Metagross? Can't OHKO with Fire Blast if holding Occa Berry (not sure if that's the right one) and can easily Earthquake next turn while surviving LO Mixape Fire Blast. See, there's that team synergy coming into play :)
