I'm from a landlocked state and the last time I saw the ocean I was probably seven years old. Fake or not, it was neat.
It was related to this:
Nameless mentioned that she would go to the netherlands, and there is no desert there. I know no lake with a beach that big(keep in mind that they prohably weren't right at the water) and beaches at rivers tend to be even smaller afaik, so all that's left is the coast.
Natural beaches over here aren't that big either, was what I was trying to say. It's not a natural beach created by ocean waves, the shape is mostly because of the ocean waves but the sand is brought in by throwing tons of sand near the beach.
So yeah it is a beach but I was trying to point out that simply the length doesn't tell it's near the ocean.
Should've quoted, my bad.
The North Sea is part of the ocean, right? It's not entirely enclosed by land or anything.
